Khanh Hoa Converting more than 26 hectares of rice land to invest in Dien Tho Industrial Cluster Project
According to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the proposal to change the purpose of rice land use to other purposes within the boundary of Dien Tho Industrial Park (phase 2) is necessary and in accordance with related planning.
On 31/10, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that according to the plan for developing industrial clusters in Khanh Hoa province approved with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 in Decision No. 318/QD-TTg dated March 29, 2023 of Prime minister Goverment, the area of Dien Tho Industrial Park by 2030 is 75 hectares.
Currently, the area of Dien Tho Industrial Cluster established in Dien Khanh district is 50 hectares. Of which, Dien Tho Industrial Cluster (phase 2) invested by VCN Investment Joint Stock Company was established under Decision No. 2053/QD-UBND dated August 30, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee with an area of 30,98 hectares.
Therefore, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee believes that the proposal to change the purpose of rice land use to other purposes within the boundary of Dien Tho Industrial Park (phase 2) is necessary.
On November 30, 2023, VCN Investment Joint Stock Company issued Document No. 602/CV-PTDA regarding the registration of the need to change the purpose of using rice-growing land to implement the Dien Tho Industrial Cluster Project (Phase 2), in which the area of rice-growing land in the project is 26,18 hectares.
According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, based on relevant regulations, the approval of the change of land use purpose for rice cultivation to implement the Dien Tho Industrial Cluster Project (phase 2) is under the authority of the Prime Minister authorized to the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province according to Decision No. 06/2023/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
At the same time, the above Project has been approved by the Provincial People's Council in the List of projects requiring land acquisition for socio-economic development for national and public interests in Khanh Hoa province in Resolution No. 09/NQ-HDND dated March 30, 2023; consistent with the General Urban Planning Project of Dien Khanh until 2040; consistent with the land use planning until 2030 of Dien Khanh district, and has been included in the Land Use Plan for 2024 of Dien Khanh district.
Along with that, the area where the purpose of rice-growing land use is changed to another purpose to implement the Dien Tho Industrial Cluster Project does not overlap with the planning location of the irrigation works.
On 31/10, the Provincial People's Council approved the change of purpose of use of 26,18 hectares of rice land to invest in the Dien Tho Industrial Cluster Project (phase 2) at the request of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
