A life-changing moment

2025 could be considered Hoa Minzy 's year , as her music video "Bac Bling" reached over 250 million views and topped the global trending charts. In March 2025, she had the opportunity to meet and chat with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at an event honoring outstanding young people. Hoa Minzy performed " Bac Bling " and received praise from the Prime Minister .

On the evening of April 16th, immediately after meeting with President Luong Cuong, the female singer continued to perform the song "Bac Bling" for the Prime Minister at another event that same day. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said to the people of Lac Xa: "Hoa is so talented, do you all acknowledge her talent? Aren't you proud?"

Hòa Minzy had the opportunity to briefly shake hands with the Prime Minister and the President.

Speaking to VietNamNet at the premiere of the film "Red Rain ," Hoa Minzy said that the moment Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked about the views of her music video "Bac Bling" was when she felt her life had truly changed. "My life-changing moment was when I received attention from the Party and State leaders, and Mr. Chinh asked me in a casual way, ' How many millions of views does " Bac Bling " have?' It was like a grandfather or uncle talking to his grandchildren," she recounted.

Recently, Hoa Minzy has been continuously invited to participate in major programs as well as appearing in the upcoming blockbuster "Red Rain" . In the film, Hoa Minzy plays a small role, appearing in only two scenes with two short lines of dialogue. However, the female singer also performs the film's main theme song, "Pain in Peace, " composed specifically for the film by the multi-million-view songwriter Nguyen Van Chung.

Something wonderful to tell your children later.

Hòa Minzy sang without receiving a fee when she learned that both Nguyễn Văn Chung and the producer wanted her to perform "The Pain Amidst Peace ." "I felt it was fate because I was also looking for a song like that. I wanted a song with humanistic content so that the audience could feel the same way I did – the feeling of gratitude and remembrance," the female singer shared with VietNamNet.

Red Rain is the third film that Hoa Minzy has appeared in. After one sitcom and one feature film, she had decided never to act again and would focus solely on music before returning to the screen in Red Rain.

"I used to think that if I ever acted, it would only be in my own music videos or films I made myself. However, when the Army Film Studio invited me to participate in a role in ' Red Rain,' I researched the film's content and my role. It was a short role with only two lines of dialogue, and the filming only took two hours, so I could consider my time to participate."

Furthermore, I am a very patriotic person, so if a film can convey a message about the sacrifices and losses of our ancestors, especially those related to the Vietnam People's Army, I am willing to participate, which is why I decided to accept the role," Hoa Minzy shared.

The singer said she hasn't studied acting in any school and never thought she would become an actress. She explains that for her music videos, she learns and immerses herself in the characters. Therefore, for Hoa Minzy, acting is much harder than being a singer. "That's why I haven't tried my hand at acting in films, even though many directors wanted to invite me to auditions last year," Hoa Minzy said.

What's remarkable is that Hoa Minzy didn't receive any payment for performing the song "Pain Amidst Peace." Her fee for a small role in "Red Rain" was only enough to cover her and the crew's flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, but she still accepted the offer as a way to support the Army Film Studio.

Lately, Hoa Minzy has been focusing on major projects related to the theme of her homeland rather than love songs. "I've decided that my path in the last few years will focus on products about my homeland. However, in a year with many major milestones for the nation, I see many songs that carry a joyful spirit, deeply rooted in national pride."

"I hope that 'Pain Amidst Peace' will be a moment of emotional reflection, allowing listeners to appreciate the contributions of our ancestors and to be grateful to the heroic Vietnamese mothers who sacrificed their youth and personal happiness so their husbands and sons could go to the front lines," the singer said.

Currently, Hoa Minzy is busy preparing for the parade taking place on the morning of September 2nd. She said: "Just being able to stand in Ba Dinh Square as an artist already makes me very proud. And if I'm chosen to be one of the performing artists, it would be a wonderful story to tell my children later," Hoa Minzy proudly shared.
