On the morning of February 17th, at the Nghi Son Economic Zone (Nghi Son town), the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, in coordination with investors, held the groundbreaking ceremony for Project No. 1 - Duc Giang Nghi Son Chemical Complex and Billion Union Vietnam Fabric Manufacturing Plant.

Project No. 1 - Duc Giang Nghi Son Chemical Complex, with a capacity of 151,000 tons of chemicals per year, covers an area of ​​30 hectares and has a total investment of VND 2,400 billion. It includes factories such as: a caustic soda production plant with a total capacity of 80,000 tons/year, a PAC (Poly aluminum chloride) production plant with a capacity of 30,000 tons/year, a Calcium hypochlorite (Ca(OCl)2) production plant with a capacity of 20,000 tons/year, and an H3PO3 production plant with a total capacity of 10,000 tons/year...

The project is expected to be completed and operational in the first quarter of 2026.

Provincial leaders and investors performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Billion Union Vietnam fabric manufacturing plant.

The Billion Union Vietnam Textile Factory project in the Nghi Son Economic Zone, invested by Billion Union Thanh Hoa Textile Co., Ltd., is a project for producing textiles, finishing textile products, and printing patterns on textiles using modern technology. With a total investment of 70 million USD and an area of ​​32 hectares, the project, upon completion and operation, will play a crucial role in supplying 18,000 tons of textiles per year to domestic and international markets, creating jobs for thousands of local workers, and contributing to the state budget revenue of Thanh Hoa province.

The plant is expected to be completed and operational in June 2026.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi delivered a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for Project No. 1 - Duc Giang Nghi Son Chemical Complex.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Van Thi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his sincere gratitude for the attention and assistance from ministries and agencies at the central level; the efforts and endeavors of all sectors and levels in the province; and the support and approval of the local people.

The comrade requested that all sectors and levels, the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and industrial parks, the Nghi Son Town Party Committee, the Nghi Son Town People's Committee, the Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, and the local people in the project area work together and coordinate well with the investor and construction contractor to implement the project.

At the same time, it is requested that Duc Giang Nghi Son Chemical Company Limited and Billion Union Thanh Hoa Textile Company Limited, along with the construction contractor, focus maximum financial resources, mobilize the best human resources, equipment, and machinery to implement the construction, ensuring the quality of the project, the committed progress, and compliance with legal regulations, absolute labor safety, environmental hygiene, and ensuring that the construction process does not affect the lives, production, and daily activities of the people in the project area.
