With intense selling pressure around the peak, not only from domestic investors but also from foreign investors, the VN-Index reversed course and fell.

The Vietnamese stock market experienced significant volatility on September 13th. Selling pressure was substantial, with foreign investors net selling 1,090 billion VND on the HOSE exchange. As a result, the VN-Index only saw a slight gain in the morning session before reversing sharply in the afternoon, at one point falling by more than 10 points.

Most major sectors in the market leaned towards red. In the VN30-Index, only a few stocks maintained positive gains, such as MWG (up 3.05%), GAS (up 2.82%), VIB (up 2.94%), CTG, VPB, POW, and PLX (up nearly 1%), while most other stocks declined. Notably, the Vingroup trio all fell: VHM (down 2.62%), VRE (down 1.69%), VIC (down 1.82%), VNM (down 1.49%), SAB (down 1.24%), HPG (down 1.22%), and GVR (down 1.76%).

In the real estate sector, besides the Vingroup trio, NVL also fell 4.8%, DXG fell 2.2%, DXS fell 2.6%, IDC fell 1.2%, KBC fell 1.3%, LDG fell 1.9%, SCR fell 1.6%... Conversely, CEO rose 2.9%, HDG rose 1.4%, QCG rose 2.1%...

The securities sector also saw many stocks reverse sharply downwards, such as: VND down 2%, VCI down 2.38%, HCM down 1.26%, VIX down 2.91%, FTS down 1.2%, ORS down 2.48%, VDS down 2.62%... The banking sector saw MBB down 1.04%, STB down 1.24%,SHB down 1.59%; VCB, TCB, SSB down nearly 1%...

At the close of trading, the VN-Index fell 7.055 points (0.57%) to 1,238.39 points, with 331 stocks declining, 192 stocks rising, and 50 stocks remaining unchanged.

At the close of trading on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also decreased by 0.21 points (0.08%) to 256.11 points, with 105 stocks declining, 77 stocks rising, and 65 stocks remaining unchanged. Liquidity increased compared to the previous session, with the total trading value across the market reaching nearly 33,400 billion VND.

Following the previous day's net buying session, foreign investors turned to net selling of VND 1,090 billion on the HOSE exchange during this trading session.
