In his opening remarks at the ceremony, Comrade Trinh Van Anh, Editor-in-Chief of Bac Giang Newspaper and Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, informed that, along with the press nationwide, Bac Giang's press has continuously innovated and developed over the years, making important contributions to the process of building and protecting the homeland and the country.
The Provincial Journalists Association, Bac Giang Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and Song Thuong Magazine have been actively promoting digital transformation, applying information technology, and innovating professional activities, thereby promptly disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the local political tasks.
During their operation, the Provincial Journalists Association and media agencies have carried out many meaningful activities (donating books, newspapers, gifts, awarding scholarships to disadvantaged students, etc.), contributing to bringing journalism closer to the people; consolidating the position and prestige of journalism in social life.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh presented certificates to the authors and groups of authors who won the 2022 National Journalism Award.
Comrade Trinh Van Anh emphasized that the annual Spring Press Festival is an opportunity to celebrate and honor the achievements of journalism, closely linked to the labor and creativity of members and journalists throughout the province. It is also an opportunity for interaction, exchange, and discussion between journalists and the public, creating a bridge between press agencies, journalists, and the people.
The Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon took place from February 21st to 26th, featuring exhibition booths from Bac Giang Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station, Song Thuong Magazine, the Provincial Library, and central press agencies with offices in Bac Giang. Also within the framework of the Spring Press Festival, Bac Giang Newspaper organized an exhibition of over 100 beautiful photographs showcasing the province's socio-economic achievements over the past year.
With hundreds of spring newspaper publications, books, and magazines from central and local press agencies, along with beautiful photographs showcasing the province's achievements in various fields, the exhibition will provide the public with a comprehensive overview of the province's socio-economic development achievements.
Through this, the public can see the innovation and development of the press nationwide in general, and the press in Bac Giang in particular, as well as the companionship and contributions of the press and journalists in disseminating the political tasks of the locality.
This is also an opportunity for journalists to meet and listen to feedback from readers, viewers, and listeners, thereby continuously improving their political, ethical, and professional qualities, and continuing to strive to excellently fulfill their assigned tasks.

During the opening ceremony, Comrade Le Quoc Minh presented certificates to two authors/groups of authors whose works won the 2022 National Journalism Award; Comrade Le Thi Thu Hong presented the Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the group of authors Thanh Huyen, Duc Bich, and Anh Hoang (Provincial Radio and Television Station) whose work won the C Prize in the 2022 National Journalism Award.
In addition, 11 authors and groups of authors who won journalism awards organized by central ministries and agencies were commended and rewarded.
Also at the program, the Women Journalists Club of the Provincial Journalists Association presented gifts to 27 underprivileged but academically excellent students studying at Son Dong No. 3 High School, Tay Yen Tu Town Secondary School, and Tay Yen Tu Town Primary and Secondary School. Each gift was worth 600,000 VND, funded by Bac Giang Agricultural Technical Supplies Joint Stock Company, Thanh Dat Co., Ltd. (Bac Giang), and the business owner Dang Thi Ut in Yen My district, Hung Yen province. The Provincial Library donated 150 books to Son Dong No. 3 High School.
