Specifically, Van Khang suffered a thigh injury and was forced to leave the field early. Unable to continue training, he received ice treatment from the medical team right outside the sidelines. This is not a very positive sign, especially as the national team is entering a crucial preparation phase.
During this training session, coach Kim Sang-sik divided the team into two groups with different exercise volumes. The group of players who started in the friendly match against Bangladesh on the evening of March 26th mainly performed walking and stretching exercises to loosen muscles and recover their physical condition.
Meanwhile, the reserve team continued tactical training at normal intensity. Van Khang was in the second group, but was unable to complete the entire training program due to an injury.
Previously, in the friendly match against Bangladesh on the evening of March 26th, Van Khang was brought on in the second half. Although he didn't score, his energy and ability to support the attack still yielded many positive results.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese national team will play a crucial match against Malaysia at Thien Truong Stadium on the evening of March 31st, in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. Therefore, Van Khang's condition is being closely monitored, as any loss of personnel at this time could affect the coaching staff's plans.
