Brigade 971, Department of Motor Vehicles and Transport (General Department of Logistics and Technical Services) was assigned to coordinate with Company 22 (General Department of Logistics and Technical Services) to transport 40 tons of dried food rations, to be assembled at Noi Bai Airport.

Urgently load dried food onto trucks for transport to aid the people of Myanmar.

Around 6:00 AM on March 30th, the sky was still dark and bitterly cold, but within the premises of Company 22, hundreds of people were busily loading goods onto trucks. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Dung, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Company 22, who had been stationed at the company headquarters since the previous night to prepare for the mission, shared: “After receiving instructions from the head of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services regarding ensuring the supply of dry rations for relief efforts in Myanmar, the company quickly inspected the existing products in the warehouse, as well as packaging specifications and food safety standards, before dispatching them. Simultaneously, we mobilized officers and staff to participate in loading the dry rations. Despite it being a holiday and the cold weather, everyone was ready to carry out the task.”

As a key unit in the transportation sector of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services, and regularly involved in transporting goods for rescue and relief operations, the spirit of "ready to go at the first sign of action" is always present among the officers and soldiers of Brigade 971. According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Ha, Deputy Brigade Commander and Chief of Staff of Brigade 971, on the afternoon of March 29th, immediately after receiving instructions from the Head of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation, the Brigade organized a force of 55 officers and soldiers along with 8 trucks ready to carry out the mission. At 5:30 AM on March 30th, upon receiving the order, the vehicles immediately mobilized, coordinating with Company 22 to organize the loading and unloading of dried food rations and transporting them to the cargo terminal of Noi Bai Airport. In addition, the unit also arranged trucks to transport 15 inflatable tents from Military Region 2 to hand over to the Engineering Corps for deployment in Myanmar. "The officers and soldiers of Brigade 971 are always ready for transportation work, because it is the unit's central political task to meet the requirements of combat readiness. With the task of transporting supplies for relief and rescue operations and international missions, the unit further emphasizes its responsibility to perform its duties to the best of its ability," Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Ha affirmed.
