Because Tri An Lake is one of the largest artificial lakes in Vietnam with a surface area of ​​over 300 km² and 76 large and small islands. The lake was formed when the hydropower dam went into operation in 1987 and has now become a special ecological area.

Tri An is one of the three core areas of the Dong Nai World Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO in 2011 and is a national tourist destination.

If the lake is the heart, then the forest is the lung of Tri An. Surrounding the lake is the Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve, where visitors can trek through the forest and explore the diverse tropical forest ecosystem.
