On the morning of August 23, the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Central Party Secretariat on personnel matters in Lam Dong province.
Accordingly, the Central Party Secretariat has issued a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Hong Thai – Deputy Minister of Science and Technology – to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; and to relieve him of his duties as a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
Attending the conference, Mr. Phan Thang An – Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department – emphasized that Mr. Tran Hong Thai has always demonstrated strong political acumen, quick thinking in leadership and management, and a high sense of responsibility in his work. Mr. Thai has the capacity to effectively organize and implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State.
The appointment of Mr. Tran Hong Thai to the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the position of Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is a recognition and high appreciation from the Secretariat of the Central Committee for his performance in fulfilling his duties over the past period.
“On behalf of the leadership of the Central Organizing Committee, I hope and request that Comrade Tran Hong Thai continue to demonstrate his courage, qualities, intellect, and work capacity, and strive to excellently fulfill the assigned tasks,” emphasized Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee.
Mr. Tran Hong Thai (born in 1974) is from Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province. He graduated from university in Russia and defended his doctoral thesis in Earth Sciences and Mathematics at Heidelberg University (Federal Republic of Germany).
