Promoting the image of local tourism.

The youth of Mong Cai City have organized many activities to support local tourism , leaving a positive impression and creating a ripple effect, contributing to introducing and promoting the image of the people and land at the northernmost point of the country to tourists.

Members of the Tour Guide Club in Mong Cai City introduce the Tra Co Temple, a special national historical site, to tourists.

In 2020, the Tour Guide Club for tourist routes and attractions in Mong Cai City was established, initiated and implemented by the Mong Cai City Youth Union. The club members are young people who have received training and certification as tour guides, participating in introducing and explaining tourist attractions, scenic spots, and historical sites in the area to visitors. To date, after 4 years of establishment, the club has welcomed and guided more than 150 groups of tourists to visit 15 tourist routes and attractions in the area, such as: Xa Tac Temple, Tra Co Tourist Area, Sa Vi Cape, Po Hen Memorial Monument, etc.

Setting specific and clear criteria, each member of the club must have a thorough understanding of all cultural and historical relics in the area. Therefore, members constantly strive and learn to improve their speaking skills and situational awareness in order to convey and introduce to tourists the historical and cultural traditions, the natural beauty, and the unique characteristics of the land and people of this region.

The Club's Steering Committee regularly organizes short-term training programs, inviting lecturers from the Faculty of Tourism (Ha Long University) to train members on tour guiding skills. Through these training sessions, tour guides improve their editing, presentation, and guiding skills at tourist routes and destinations, and effectively handle various situations while working as tour guides.

The Mong Cai City Youth Union organized the 2024 Red Address Journey at the Bach Dang Stake Field Historical Site (Quang Yen Town).

Bui Huu Dat, Secretary of the Ka Long Ward Youth Union and a member of the club, shared: “By joining the club, I can contribute my knowledge and youthful energy to the locality through introducing and promoting historical, cultural , and tourist sites. Like other members, I feel very excited and proud to have contributed a small part to the overall development of the city.”

To help locals and tourists easily access and learn about historical sites, the Mong Cai City Youth Union has recently implemented the installation of QR codes at historical landmarks and tourist destinations in the area. To date, 12 QR codes with automated narration have been deployed at: Milestone 368, Milestone 1368, Tra Co Temple, Xa Tac Temple, Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, etc., attracting a large number of visitors. Scanning the QR codes allows tourists and locals to easily access and learn about the full range of information, including documents, images, and videos providing an overview of these tourist destinations.

In line with the city's policy of developing community tourism, youth union branches, in coordination with other units, painted nearly 2,000 square ^{meters of} murals in Hai Son, Vinh Trung, and Vinh Thuc communes. This activity not only beautifies the rural landscape but also creates an attractive highlight for tourists visiting and experiencing the area.

Activities such as environmental cleanup, especially on beaches, carried out by youth union members contribute to creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape; and at the same time, promote the pioneering role of youth in the development of local tourism.

Mr. Nguyen The Vinh, Deputy Secretary in charge of the Mong Cai City Youth Union, said: "The local Youth Union members have always actively and effectively implemented activities to promote local tourism. To enhance the promotion of the local tourism image, the City Youth Union creates videos about the beautiful natural scenery and people, which are shared on social media... The City Youth Union also organizes experiential activities to visit historical sites in the province to help Youth Union members gain more knowledge about the culture and people of Quang Ninh ."
