“Yesterday, my teacher taught me the word ‘ peace, ’ Dad. Is ‘peace’ beautiful, Dad?” This line from the film “Hanoi Silk Dress,” which brought tears to the eyes of generations of viewers, is now making waves across social media platforms. Many people have expressed their emotion, gratitude, and shared their own definitions of “peace.” Now, as we live through the historic month of April, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country, a response, a confirmation from the present, is: Peace is beautiful!

Attending the lesson "Peace is Beautiful" with the teacher and students of class 2B at Man Lan Primary School, Thanh Ba district, our first impression was the sight of both teacher and students wearing red shirts with yellow stars, the classroom "dyed red" in the beloved color of the national flag. The lesson began with a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere; the students eagerly raised their hands to answer the teacher's questions about the Great Victory Day of April 30, 1975, the name of the city named after President Ho Chi Minh, the South on the map of the country, and peace. The part the students looked forward to most was watching the video "The Ho Chi Minh Campaign to Liberate the South" with vivid graphics and information. The lesson concluded with a group singing and clapping of the song "As if President Ho Chi Minh were present on the day of the great victory"; using actions to express love for the country, such as placing hands on the left chest...

Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Thao, homeroom teacher of class 2B at Man Lan Primary School, said: "The lesson 'Peace is Beautiful,' exploring the history and significance of April 30th, took place during class time. This is one of the themed class activities related to a significant national event, with great educational value, helping students gain a better understanding of Vietnam's history, culture, and country."

Many young people are choosing to take photos with the national flag and the map of Vietnam to show their support for the "Peace is Beautiful" campaign.

These days, the national flag, the Party flag, and the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam have "covered" the campus and even classrooms at Hung Vuong University in red. Each flag symbolizes gratitude and represents the voice of the young people at Hung Vuong University, who always carry within them patriotism and a desire to contribute to building and protecting the Fatherland. Along with Hung Vuong University, many schools in the province have also "covered" their campuses in red with flags, such as Ha Hoa High School (Ha Hoa district), Van Lang Secondary School (Viet Tri city)...

Along with people nationwide, thousands of cadres and youth union members in the ancestral land simultaneously changed their profile pictures and cover photos; posted content, images, and videos expressing love for their homeland and country, national pride, and the joyful atmosphere celebrating the anniversary of the great victory of April 30, 1975, associated with the national flag; and used the hashtag #hoabinhdeplam to tell the story of peace, gratitude, and national pride from the unique and creative perspective of youth.

Comrade Dinh Thi Tuyet Mai – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: This is not just a trend, but also an opportunity for each young person to express their national pride, profound gratitude to the older generations, and affirm the aspiration for peace of Vietnamese youth.

In the spirit of the heroic April days, the youth of the Fatherland carried out and organized many activities to visit and give gifts to express gratitude to families of policy beneficiaries and those who contributed to the revolution; to meet and interact with historical witnesses; to visit and learn about historical relics. They also actively cleaned up the environment, creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape at martyrs' cemeteries and memorials.

In 13 districts, towns, and cities across the province, the youth in green uniforms simultaneously organized candle-lighting ceremonies to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs. Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, the youth of the Fatherland pledged to utilize their intellect, be proactive, volunteer, and be ready to face difficult challenges, going wherever and doing whatever the Fatherland and the People need; always believing in and forever following the path chosen by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the People; raising awareness of hostile forces; continuing to preserve and inherit the revolutionary achievements of our Party, worthy of the heroic sacrifices of the heroic martyrs.

With their youthful energy and intelligence, today's young generation has continued the traditions of their forefathers, further enhancing the beauty of peace on our beloved S-shaped land.
