The Union of Associations, in coordination with the Ham Rong Club, organized a thematic information conference on Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo .
While previously the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge was primarily carried out through seminars or traditional printed materials, the Union of Associations has now innovated its communication methods to increase access to information for officials, members, and the public. Accordingly, in addition to maintaining coordinated dissemination through mass media, the Union of Associations has effectively utilized digital platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, and the organization's website to quickly and promptly convey the Party and State's policies on science and technology , as well as new technical advancements serving production and daily life.
Specifically, the website tusta.org.vn continues to be upgraded in both form and content. The sections are more scientifically organized, and the interface is more user-friendly. In particular, timeliness is emphasized, with frequent updates on the activities of the Union of Associations, member associations, training courses, scientific conferences, and advisory and critical review activities. Beyond being just an internal information channel, the Union of Associations' website is gradually becoming a forum for knowledge exchange and connecting the scientific and technical intellectual community in the province.
A highlight in recent times has been the implementation of the "Digital Literacy Movement" according to Plan No. 265-KH/TU dated April 24, 2025, of the Provincial Party Committee. The Union of Associations, in coordination with Hong Duc University and the Thanh Hoa Informatics Association, organized two training conferences for nearly 400 cadres, members, and representatives from relevant units. The training content focused on practical skills in using digital platforms and exploiting online tools for work and daily life, rather than just disseminating information. Beyond simply transmitting information, the Union of Associations also prioritized organizing academic forums and specialized seminars to create an environment for knowledge exchange and to spread innovative thinking.
One of the notable aspects of the Union's science and technology dissemination activities in recent times is the close connection between the content of the dissemination and the practical needs of the locality. Through coordination with universities, research institutes, and specialized units, many scientific seminars and technical transfer training courses have been organized in a "hands-on" manner, helping people easily access and apply the knowledge to production... In particular, member associations continue to play the role of a bridge bringing scientific and technical advancements to the grassroots: the Biotechnology Association organized many training courses on the cultivation of edible and medicinal mushrooms; the Hoang Hoa and Yen Dinh Science and Technology Associations guided people in processing organic waste into fertilizer, using biological products in agricultural production, and applying high technology in organic rice cultivation and livestock farming. While the training content may not be new academically, it is very practical for farmers.
Mr. Le Van U, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Ornamental Plants Association, said that the current approach of the Union of Associations is not just limited to "one-way dissemination of knowledge" but has shifted to accompanying, guiding, and supporting people in directly applying it to practice. This helps scientific and technological activities become more accessible and create more tangible results.
Alongside technical training activities, the dissemination of information about science and technology through mass media has also been intensified. In particular, promotional activities linked to major events such as Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18th), the 31st anniversary of the Union of Associations, the Youth and Children's Innovation Competition, the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award, and the Provincial Technical Innovation Competition... have contributed to spreading the spirit of innovation within the community.
Another highlight of the year was the collaboration with the Ham Rong Club to organize thematic information conferences that attracted a large number of officials and members. The thematic presentation, "Breakthroughs in Science and Technology Development in accordance with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo," delivered by Dr. Nguyen Quan, former Minister of Science and Technology, provided many new perspectives on the role of science and technology in national development. Meanwhile, the thematic presentation, "The August Revolution and the Role of Intellectuals and Wealthy Individuals Contributing to the Revolution," delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Cuong, not only held historical significance but also contributed to fostering social responsibility and a spirit of dedication among today's intellectuals.
By innovating content, diversifying communication methods, and enhancing practical application, the Union's activities in disseminating scientific and technological knowledge have made many positive impacts. These activities not only contribute to raising the scientific level of the population but also gradually make science and technology a driving force for the socio-economic development of the province in the new era.
