The Phuong Do communal temple festival is associated with the worship of Duong Tu Minh, a famous general of the Ly Dynasty who contributed to protecting the northern border of Dai Viet. Every year, the opening ceremony takes place on the 14th and 15th of January, with solemn rituals of incense offering and palanquin procession. Previously, the selection of 57 young men to carry the palanquin and 19 officials for the ceremonial rites was conducted strictly according to village regulations.
On January 30, 2018, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recognized the Phuong Do Temple Traditional Festival as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. This is an acknowledgment of the unique cultural values preserved by the community through many generations.
Phuong Do communal house, built in the 15th century, boasts architecture typical of the Late Le Dynasty, featuring curved tile roofs, "two dragons worshipping the moon" decorations, 48 ironwood columns, and an exquisite system of carvings of the Four Sacred Animals. For over 500 years, Phuong Do communal house and pagoda have continued to serve as a center of cultural and spiritual life, contributing to the preservation of traditions and strengthening community solidarity.
