(CLO) Artist Le Phuong's exhibition is not only a gallery, but also a spiritual field for the audience to meditate, contemplate and share the "Secret Agreement" between art, heart and eternal spirituality.
From November 1-7, at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts (66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh, Hanoi ), the exhibition "2024 Covenant" by artist Le Phuong will take place.
Artist Le Phuong is also known by the pen name Leo with illustrations and caricatures for newspapers and publishers under the pen name Leo since 2001.

In the field of painting, with a unique style and delicate brushwork, Le Phuong creates emotional works, harmoniously combining abstraction and realism, attracting art connoisseurs.
Before this exhibition, artist Le Phuong had many group exhibitions such as: Group exhibition of members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association at 16 Ngo Quyen in 2014; group exhibition of Spring Dinh Dau at Van Ho exhibition in 2017; group exhibition "5 new" at 29 Hang Bai exhibition house in 2021; double exhibition "Mat Uc" at 16 Ngo Quyen exhibition house in 2023. "Mat Uoc 2024" is his first solo exhibition.
At the exhibition "Confidential Agreement 2024", Le Phuong introduced to the public 19 representative works from different creative periods during the time he shifted his creative trend to abstraction.
Through new experiments in techniques and unique materials, Le Phuong considers the practice of painting as a spiritual practice, to purify the self and return to the purest roots of consciousness, to reflect on the imperfection of human existence, and to rediscover the wisdom that goes hand in hand with the aesthetics of the nation.
Artist Le Phuong shared that this exhibition has some private stories that have never been told. This is not only a gallery, but also a spiritual field for the audience to meditate, contemplate and share the "secret agreement" between art, the heart and the eternal spirit.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Thai, the abstraction in Le Phuong's paintings has leaned towards the hidden, diving back inside, deliberately avoiding the charm that comes out.
“The abstraction in Phuong’s paintings has reached a hidden aesthetic in every aspect - a kind of painting that provokes the deep part - which lies dormant in the subconscious of the viewer, and is not easy to awaken. Starting from Phuong’s naming of the paintings, it has carried the immense meaning of the impermanent flower in Trinh Cong Son’s music”, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Thai commented.

According to artist Bang Si Truc, "2024 Covenant" or Le Phuong's journey back to the original cultural values is a deep connection between the consciousness of reality and the spiritual world - where visual language plays the role of a symbol.
This artistic attitude expresses the aesthetic philosophy when the author transforms emotions into seemingly inanimate materials, a field of contemporary art. Artist Le Phuong had an exciting experience, provoking thoughts and feelings about the nature of art, religion and life.
