Provincial Festival of Excellent Team Leaders

(BLC) – Over two days (June 4-5), the Provincial Youth Union Council organized the 2023 Provincial Excellent Team Leader Festival.

The festival featured over 50 contestants selected from preliminary rounds at school branches in four districts: Tam Duong, Than Uyen, Tan Uyen, Phong Tho, and Lai Chau city.

Delegates took a commemorative photo with the contestants at the festival's opening ceremony.

The contestants participated in three parts of the competition. For the "Intelligent Team Leader" section, contestants answered questions on six basic knowledge areas and completed 15 multiple-choice questions and 5 essay questions. After this section, the Organizing Committee selected the 20 contestants with the highest scores to advance to the "Talented Team Leader" section.

In the Talented Team Leader competition, contestants practice the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers' Team rituals and demonstrate their skills (communication, staging, performance, group performance, singing and dancing in the schoolyard...). The organizing committee then selects the 10 contestants with the highest scores to compete in the Courageous Team Leader competition.

Contestants will compete in the Team Leader competition through a theatrical performance.

In the "Team Leader's Courage" competition, contestants introduce themselves, present, debate, and promote one of the following topics: preventing child marriage and consanguineous marriage; preventing child injuries in the community; digital technology and preventing cyberbullying; school violence - its consequences, repercussions, and prevention methods; building beautiful friendships; saying no to school violence, etc.

Comrade Vu Thi Mai Dinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - presented the first and second prizes to the individuals who achieved high results at the festival.

At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Nguyen Minh Tuyet, a student from class 8A2 of Quyet Tien Secondary School (Lai Chau City), and two second prizes, three third prizes, and six consolation prizes to high-achieving contestants. The Organizing Committee also awarded certificates to the units that won the overall team prizes. The first prize went to the Than Uyen District Team Command Team; the two second prizes went to the Lai Chau City Team Command Team and the Tan Uyen District Team Command Team. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded Certificates of Excellent Team Command at the provincial level in 2023 to individuals participating in the festival.
