On August 12, in Binh Duong, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) coordinated with the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to organize a seminar on the development of a job exchange system.

According to Mr. Trinh Duc Tai, Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong province, over the past time, each year the locality has created many jobs for workers of the province and workers from other provinces and cities; connecting and solving jobs annually for about 35,000 workers.

Faced with the complicated labor market situation when the economy is in difficulty like today, Binh Duong is more interested in solutions to connect labor supply and demand from job exchange activities.

According to Mr. Trinh Duc Tai, through the job exchange, the provincial labor sector closely monitors the situation of unemployed workers and reduced working hours to have a plan to connect labor supply and demand, supporting people in finding jobs.

Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong province said: "Researching and proposing solutions to solve employment and connecting businesses and workers is very necessary."

Mr. Tai affirmed that, facing the challenges of the digital transformation era and the unpredictable fluctuations in the current labor and employment market, the requirement to build and develop a flexible, modern, sustainable and integrated labor market information system is a necessary requirement of Binh Duong.

"Developing a job exchange system is one of the necessary measures, creating an important premise in the development strategy of the labor and employment sector of Binh Duong in particular and the whole country in general in the current period," said Mr. Trinh Duc Tai.

At the seminar, Mr. Ngo Xuan Lieu, Director of the National Center for Employment Services, informed: "Currently, the whole country has about 500 job transaction centers and businesses operating in the supply of human resources."

However, the job exchange has only been able to meet the basic labor supply and demand and has not had many other activities. According to Mr. Lieu, it is time to innovate the job exchange.

He said: "The job exchange must have many new things, changing both in form and quality to provide for many subjects, meeting the needs of businesses and workers."

The task for the industry is to build a job exchange model that ensures connection of labor markets between provinces and cities in the country and internationally, ensuring legality".
