On August 10th, Disney held the D23 Expo to showcase its upcoming film projects.

At the D23 Expo, audience attention was focused on the "Moana" blockbuster trilogy. "Moana's Journey 2", "Mufasa: The Lion King", and the live-action "Snow White" adaptation.
Movie "Moana 2"
Set three years after the events of the first film, Moana is now a grown woman. Following her ancestors' call, she embarks on a new voyage to distant seas, fulfilling a mission to connect all people and communities across Oceania.
The trailer released by Disney shows Moana's team facing a series of challenges to complete their noble mission.
In a brief scene, Moana is reunited with the spirit of her grandmother. The two embrace, creating a deeply moving moment. Additionally, the close bond between Moana and her younger sister Simea is explored in this film.
"Moana 2" is the directorial debut of David G. Derrick Jr., who will also serve as the screenwriter.
The film is scheduled to be released on November 29, 2024, in theaters nationwide.
The movie "Mufasa: The Lion King"
"Mufasa: The Lion King" is a prequel to "The Lion King" (2019), a blockbuster that grossed over $1.6 billion and ranked among the top 10 highest-grossing films of all time.
The film tells the story of Rafiki the monkey telling Kiara (Simba's daughter) how her grandfather Mufasa overcame many challenges to become the lion king.
The lion king's childhood memories are gradually revealed, and among them, the special relationship between Mufasa and his older brother Taka (or Scar) is particularly noteworthy. The film's journey spans from their first meeting and becoming close brothers to Taka's betrayal and subsequent personality change.

Previously, the predecessor film received a nomination for "Best Visual Effects" at the 92nd Academy Awards. "Mufasa: The Lion King" promises to be a box office hit when it is released later this year.
The film is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024, in theaters nationwide.
The movie "Snow White" (live-action version)
Transforming into Snow White, Rachel Zegler immediately captivated audiences with her beautiful, charming appearance and fresh energy for the role.
In the new teaser released by the studio, Rachel Zegler's character design closely resembles the animated version.

She appeared wearing a blue blouse with puffed sleeves and a high-necked white collar, paired with a flowing yellow skirt. The character had short, ebony-black hair and wore pretty red shoes.
Appearing alongside Snow White is the Evil Queen, played by the renowned Gal Gadot. While Snow White is portrayed as pure and innocent, the Queen is the complete opposite, with a powerful and wicked image in mysterious black attire.
Besides the character designs, the musical style in the live-action version of "Snow White" also made a strong impression.
A host of hit songs from the original film, including "Whistle While You Work" performed by Rachel Zegler, will be featured. Additionally, songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will collaborate on new songs for the film.
The film is scheduled to be released on March 21, 2025, in theaters nationwide.
