Rice prices in the Mekong Delta region today, March 17th, showed little fluctuation. Market volume was good, rice prices remained stable, and fresh paddy prices tended to increase.

Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of IR 504 raw rice has decreased by 50 VND, fluctuating between 8,100 and 8,200 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice has increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating between 8,550 and 8,600 VND/kg; OM 380 raw rice is fluctuating between 7,800 and 7,900 VND/kg; finished OM 380 rice is fluctuating between 8,800 and 9,000 VND/kg; and finished IR 504 rice is fluctuating between 9,500 and 9,700 VND/kg.
Regarding by-products, prices fluctuate between 7,300 and 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice ranges from 7,100 to 7,300 VND/kg; grade 2 broken rice ranges from 6,800 to 6,900 VND/kg; and the price of bran ranges from 9,000 to 10,000 VND/kg, compared to yesterday.
Reports from various localities today indicate a fairly good supply of rice, with relatively stable prices for all types. In An Giang , the supply is good, transactions are slow, and prices remain stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), supplies are concentrated in large warehouses, and prices are slightly lower for medium and low-quality rice. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the supply is better than at the end of last week, warehouses are buying steadily, and prices are firm.
At Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap province), the amount of rice arriving at the docks is higher, but the quality is inconsistent, and prices remain relatively stable. At An Cu (Cai Be district, Tien Giang province ), the supply is steady, good quality rice sells easily, warehouses are slow to buy, and prices are stable.
At retail markets, rice prices remain stable compared to the weekend. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price at 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice ranges from 15,000 - 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice ranges from 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 17,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice ranges from 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 21,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 18 rice (fresh) has increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 6,500 - 6,600 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,400 - 6,500 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,700 - 5,800 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice is at 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg.
Observations in many localities today show a good supply and brisk trading activity. In Kien Giang, the supply of paddy rice in Hon Dat, Tan Hiep, and Giong Rieng is quite good, farmers are offering it for sale steadily, and prices remain stable. In Dong Thap, rice trading is consistent, many traders are inquiring about buying fragrant rice, and rice prices are stable.
In An Giang, supply is relatively good in Chau Thanh - Thoai Son, rice transactions are sporadic, and prices tend to increase slightly. In Hau Giang, farmers are offering more rice for sale, the supply of unsold rice is limited, and demand from traders remains consistent.
On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained stable today compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price for 5% broken rice is $391/ton; 25% broken rice is $365/ton; and 100% broken rice is $307/ton.
