Rice prices in the Mekong Delta region today, March 19th, showed slight fluctuations. Market volume was relatively good, with fresh paddy and export rice prices continuing their slight upward trend.
Rice prices in the Mekong Delta region today, March 19, 2025, remained relatively stable. The market was fairly well-stocked, with most types of rice remaining relatively stable, although some fresh paddy prices increased compared to yesterday.

Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current prices are as follows: OM 380 raw rice ranges from 7,700 to 7,850 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice ranges from 8,550 to 8,650 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice ranges from 8,100 to 8,200 VND/kg; finished OM 380 rice ranges from 8,800 to 9,000 VND/kg; and finished IR 504 rice ranges from 9,500 to 9,700 VND/kg.
Regarding by-products, prices fluctuate between 6,700 and 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice ranges from 7,100 to 7,300 VND/kg; grade 2 broken rice has increased by 100 VND/kg, ranging from 6,700 to 6,900 VND/kg; and the price of bran ranges from 9,000 to 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Reports from various localities today indicate a fairly large supply of rice, with relatively stable prices for all types. In An Giang , the supply is good, new transactions are consistent, and prices remain stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), there is a large influx of rice, warehouses are buying steadily, and prices are firm. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the supply is consistent, warehouses are buying steadily, and prices are stable.
At Sa Dec market (Dong Thap province), the amount of rice arriving at the docks is high, fragrant rice is easy to buy and sell, large warehouses are inquiring more about buying OM18 rice, and prices are relatively stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang province ), buying and selling transactions are steady, good quality rice is easy to sell, and prices are stable.
At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice is listed highest at 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice fluctuates between 15,000 and 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 to 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice ranges from 18,000 to 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 17,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice fluctuates around 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 21,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current prices for rice are as follows: OM 5451 rice (fresh) increased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating between 5,800 and 6,000 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 6,500 and 6,600 VND/kg; OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,500 and 6,600 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,200 and 5,400 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,500 and 5,600 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice is at 6,300 and 6,500 VND/kg.
Observations in many localities today show a good supply and steady new transactions. In Hau Giang, rice harvesting is proceeding sporadically, prices are trending upwards, and traders have already placed deposits on many areas. In Can Tho, supplies are nearly depleted, the winter-spring crop is basically finished, and prices are stable. In Soc Trang, demand is sporadic, and rice prices remain firm.
In An Giang, demand for regular rice remains steady, and rice prices are relatively stable. In Kien Giang, the regular rice harvest has passed, with little remaining supply, making it difficult for traders to purchase new rice. In Dong Thap, most traders are inquiring about fragrant rice, and rice prices are stable.
On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices continued their slight upward trend today compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of 5% broken rice is $394/ton (up $2/ton); 25% broken rice is $368/ton (up $1/ton); and 100% broken rice is $313/ton (up $3/ton).
