Rice prices rebound due to many remaining rice fields

Rice prices today, March 25, in the Mekong Delta region increased with rice products.

Specifically, the price of raw rice IR 504 today increased by 100 VND/kg to 10,700 - 10,750 VND/kg; finished rice IR 504 remained stable at 13,100 - 13,200 VND/kg, an increase of 2002 - 300 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the price of IR 504 rice bran increased by VND50/kg to VND10,650 - 10,750/kg. Meanwhile, dry bran remained stable at around VND5,000 - 5,050/kg.

Rice prices today remain stable with rice

At retail markets, rice prices remained stable. Regarding rice, today there is no fluctuation in rice prices. According to the update of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, IR 50404 rice remains at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 380 rice fluctuates at 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuates around 7,700 - 7,900 VND/kg; OM 18 rice price is at 7,900 - 8,100 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice remains around 7,900 - 8,000 VND/kg.

In the rice market, the average price of fresh rice purchased at the field is at 7,800 - 8,200 VND/kg. Recorded in the provinces in the Mekong Delta today, the market transactions are stable. In Soc Trang , Bac Lieu, Hau Giang, fragrant rice of all kinds is stable in price, transactions are regular, and demand is quite good. Transactions are mainly ST 24 rice. In Can Tho, the winter-spring rice crop has been left in the fields a lot, farmers have started sowing the summer-autumn crop.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, by mid-March, the Southern provinces had harvested 796,837 hectares, accounting for over 50% of the cultivated area. Localities also planted 195,669 hectares of summer-autumn crop, accounting for 14% of the plan; concentrated in the provinces of Long An, Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang, Vinh Long, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, and Ba Ria Vung Tau.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained stable today after an upward adjustment. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 5% broken rice is currently at 596 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 568 USD/ton; and 100% broken rice is at 481 USD/ton.
