Contestants who emerged from the show have become sought-after Gen Z rappers today, such as MCK, tlinh, Double2T, 24k.Right, Captain, Pháp Kiều... and especially RHYDER – who recently became the runner-up in Anh Trai Say Hi.
The Seven Powers of this year's show
To achieve that success, especially for a show that has gone through 3 seasons, the differences between each season are very important. Season 4 brought about a "change of leadership" for Suboi and Karik, the participation of top Thai rapper F.Hero, as well as the appearance of world- renowned DJ duo - The Hotel Lobby.
But that's not all; the rules in this year's conquest round will be even more intense and unpredictable. As usual, in this round, the coaches will decide which contestant joins their team by choosing them. If a contestant receives two or more choices, the final decision on which team they join rests with the three judges. Most importantly, each coach will have a golden hat that they can use to win a contestant override the judges' decision.
However, with Rap Viet 2024 , the battle to win contestants has become even more intense as the coaches now have the added power of the golden key.
Accordingly, this priority access is reserved exclusively for the coaches who select contestants. Only the fastest to act gets to use the golden lock and place it on a coach they consider a potential "threat" in the competition for their favorite contestant.
Coaches wearing the golden harness are not allowed to recruit contestants, nor are they allowed to debate or use the golden hat.
This year, in particular, the first choice will be decided in advance during the casting round.
Furthermore, unlike previous seasons – where the golden hat was the ultimate "weapon" of the coaches – in Rap Viet 2024, in addition to the "golden hat," each coach will have one "first choice" right.
Accordingly, all four coaches will watch the casting round performances and use their first choice to select one contestant for their team before the final round. The coaches will not know each other's first choice, and the contestant will not know they are the first choice, while the golden hat and golden lock rules will be invalidated for the first-choice contestant.
Clearly, the battle to recruit talented contestants to their teams will be more intense and dramatic than ever with the two new "weapons" that Rap Viet 2024 brings, promising a season of Rap Viet that is more surprising and competitive than ever before.
The first episode of Rap Viet 2024 will officially air at 8 PM on Saturday, September 21st.
