The Land Law is expected to take effect from August 1st.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Prime Minister's Directive No. 53/CD-TTg on accelerating the progress of drafting and promulgating detailed regulations for the implementation of the Land Law, Housing Law, Real Estate Business Law, and the Law on Credit Institutions.

Accordingly, the Government requested these leaders to direct the acceleration of the drafting and issuance of detailed guiding documents for the amended Law on Land, Housing, and Real Estate Business and the amended Law on Credit Institutions. Local authorities need to complete this work by June.

The process of drafting and promulgating these documents requires close coordination with relevant ministries and agencies to ensure the consistency and uniformity of the legal texts.

According to the official dispatch, these laws are expected to take effect from August 1, 2024.

The directive also requested that the Government Office monitor and urge localities to implement this directive, and promptly report to the Prime Minister any obstacles or difficulties encountered during the implementation process.

Previously, according to a proposal from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Land Law was expected to come into effect on July 1, 2024, instead of January 1, 2025, as previously stipulated.

The aim is to bring the Land Law into effect as soon as possible, unlock land resources, and promptly resolve outstanding land-related issues. In addition, it aims to support and promote the development of the real estate market, maximize potential, and make the most efficient use of land resources.

At the same time, this helps to remove difficulties in accessing land for production and business, attract investment, and make a significant contribution to achieving the set economic and social development goals and targets, ensuring social stability and providing practical benefits for the people.
