Mr. Trang's family faces housing difficulties. With no land for farming and no accumulated assets, the entire family's livelihood depends on precarious hired labor. They take on any job they can find, from digging soil and fertilizing to cleaning, traveling far and wide to earn money to support their lives. Their difficulties are compounded by Ms. Oanh's illness: hyperthyroidism and vestibular disorders, weakening her health and leaving her unable to perform strenuous work as before.
Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Binh commune, Bui Van Thieu, presented the decision to hand over the "Warm Home" to Mr. Nguyen Van Trang and Ms. Pham Kieu Oanh.
However, what many people admire even more is that, despite their difficult lives, they never gave up on raising and educating their children.
Their son, Nguyen Thai Bao, has been an excellent student for many years and is currently a medical student at Cuu Long University. His dream of wearing a white lab coat to treat patients and save lives is not only Bao's aspiration but also the greatest hope of his entire family.
Despite the worries about tuition and living expenses, the couple still carefully save every penny, striving each day so that their child does not have to drop out of school.
The new house of Mr. Trang and Ms. Oanh's family is spacious and sturdy.
Understanding their situation, the "Safe and Secure Home" program of Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio and Television connected with Ca Mau Lottery Company Limited to provide 60 million VND in support, helping Mr. Trang's family build a new, spacious, and sturdy house, creating a stable place to live, allowing them to work with peace of mind and improve their lives.
The joy was further enhanced when, at the house handover ceremony, the Thien Tai Volunteer Group, the Ca Mau Youth Vitality Group, and benefactors from near and far continued to support Nguyen Thai Bao with 7.2 million VND, giving him strength on his educational journey.
Journalist Hong Nhi (from Ca Mau Newspaper, Radio and Television), representing benefactors, presented 7.2 million VND to support the family and encourage Nguyen Thai Bao's studies.
Overwhelmed with emotion in his new home, Mr. Nguyen Van Trang shared: “Even in my dreams, I never dared to imagine my family having a decent house like this today. Thanks to the program, the support of neighbors and benefactors, my family now has a solid roof over our heads. This is a huge motivation for my wife and me to work hard and ensure our children receive a proper education.”
Mr. Trang's radiant smile reflects his joy at having a new home.
