Incredibly fast screen

New entrant, launches 750 Hz screen in Vietnam.

Recently, Antgamer, a subsidiary brand of HKC, launched a 750 Hz monitor line in Vietnam. This is a speed level far exceeding the standard for normal use. However, this race has not stopped when some manufacturers develop products up to 1,000 Hz. This device serves a small group of gamers with special needs. In addition to the high price, customers also have to meet a series of other requirements.

The Antgamer 257PF model has a refresh rate of 750 Hz, and the resolution stops at FullHD. This is one of the products with the highest refresh rate available in Vietnam. For comparison, most feature phones only have a 60 Hz refresh rate.

The entire iPhone 17 range has been upgraded to 120Hz this year. Meanwhile, most movies are only produced at 24 FPS to match the motion blur of the human eye.

This battle for faster refresh rates only serves a small segment of customers. That is professional gamers competing in first-person shooters like CS2 or Valorant . In these games, the decision can be made in a matter of a few hundredths of a second. So faster screens give you an advantage on the battlefield.

In fact, high speed in any game is beneficial for gamers. But in most games, the impact on the result is negligible. League of Legends or DotA 2 requires more tactical elements and planning than small moments. Fighting games like Tekken, Street Fighter depend on player proficiency and reaction. The same goes for sports simulators and racing games.

The product has no official price in Vietnam. In China, it costs 8,000 NDT (29 million VND). This is a very high price if only looking at the 24-inch size, FullHD resolution and TN panel which has limited viewing angle. At this price, customers who prioritize display can buy OLED screens, up to 5K resolution for entertainment and work.

In addition to Antgamer, AOC introduced a 1,000 Hz monitor model earlier this year in FullHD resolution. The company offers an option to reduce it to 750 Hz with 2K.

In addition to the high price, to meet these types of screens, customers also have to invest in a very high-configuration computer system. To run 750 Hz in CS2 or Valorant , the PC must use at least RTX 5070. The price of the device can be up to about 100 million VND.

These factors make high-speed monitors less popular, serving a small customer base. In turn, it is the driving force for manufacturers to compete to upgrade technology. Currently, 144-300 Hz monitors are gradually becoming a popular choice, cheaper than a few years ago.
