A cold air mass is moving south.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that, near dawn and during the morning of April 28th, this cold air mass will affect the northeastern region of Vietnam, then the North Central region, and some areas in the northwestern region. Inland, winds will shift to the northeast at level 2-3, and level 3 in coastal areas.

On April 28th, the weather in the Northeast of Vietnam will turn cooler, with some mountainous areas experiencing cold temperatures. The lowest temperatures during this cold spell in the North will generally range from 20-23 degrees Celsius, with some high mountainous areas experiencing temperatures below 18 degrees Celsius; in the North Central region, temperatures will generally range from 22-25 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi on April 28th, the weather turned cooler. The lowest temperature during this cold spell was generally 21-23 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of a cold front compressing a low-pressure trough, from the evening of April 27th to April 28th, the northeastern region of Vietnam will experience rain, moderate rain, and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rain.

The northwestern and north-central regions of Vietnam will experience showers and scattered thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

At sea, the forecast for April 28th indicates that in the Gulf of Tonkin, winds will shift to the northeast, reaching force 4-5, sometimes force 6, with gusts up to force 7. The sea will be rough; wave height will be 1.5-2.5m.
