Miss Charm 2025 faces last-minute setback: Miss France dislocates her ankle.

On the afternoon of November 29th, Miss Charm 2025 officially kicked off with a sash presentation ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together 34 contestants from many countries. This year's competition has adjusted the age limit, allowing contestants from 18 to 35 years old to participate, a broader range than the previous regulation of up to 28 years old.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, President of Miss Charm, the organizers prioritized the quality of contestants over quantity this year, with 34 countries participating. However, in future seasons, especially in 2026, this number could increase to 50 countries.

The Venezuelan representative is expected to arrive tomorrow due to disruptions to international flights. Notably, the French representative suffered a fall in her home country, dislocating her ankle, but remains determined to compete. The organizers are seeking a traditional medicine doctor to assist her so she can make it to the finals.

Ms. Thuy Nga revealed that this year's judging panel will include two international members: Miss Charm 2023 Luma Russo and Miss Charm 2024 Rashmita Rasindran. The full list will be announced on the official fanpage in the near future.

This year's representative from Vietnam is Mai Ngo (Ngo Thi Quynh Mai), born in 1995, who has 14 years of experience as a model and 10 years competing in various beauty pageants. She is expected to continue Vietnam's impressive achievements at Miss Charm, following Thanh Thanh Huyen's Top 20 finish (2023) and Quynh Nga's 2nd runner-up title (2024).

In an interview with VietNamNet , Colombian representative María José Chacón shared about her special relationship with the newly crowned Miss International 2024, Catalina Duque, who was recently crowned in Japan . The two competed together in a beauty pageant in Colombia and were roommates. She expressed her pride in Kata's victory and shared that Kata is a wonderful, funny, kind, and supportive friend. The two remain in regular contact and share experiences throughout their journey to the crown.
