Miss Charm 2025 contest moved from Ha Long to Ho Chi Minh City at the last minute. The French representative with a dislocated leg was still determined to participate. The reigning beauty queen emotionally shared her memorable tenure.

On the afternoon of November 29, Miss Charm 2025 officially kicked off with a sash ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, gathering 34 contestants from many countries. This year's contest has adjusted the age limit, contestants from 18 to 35 years old can participate, expanding the previous rule to 28 years old.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga - President of Miss Charm, the organizing committee prioritizes the quality of contestants over quantity this year with 34 participating countries, however, in the following seasons, especially in 2026, this number may increase to 50 countries.

The Venezuelan representative is scheduled to arrive tomorrow due to international flights being affected. Notably, the French representative had an accident in her home country, dislocating her leg, but is still determined to compete. The organizers are looking for a traditional Chinese medicine doctor to help her make it to the finals.

Ms. Thuy Nga revealed that this year's judges will have 2 international members: Miss Charm 2023 Luma Russo and Miss Charm 2024 Rashmita Rasindran. The full list will be announced on the official fanpage in the near future.

Initially, Miss Charm 2025 was scheduled to be held in Ha Long, Quang Ninh to promote Ha Long Bay. However, at the last minute, the plan had to be changed due to many unexpected reasons, the organizers decided to choose Ho Chi Minh City as the venue. The organizers will announce the venue for the semi-finals and finals later on the fanpage.

During the ceremony, reigning Miss Charm 2024 Rashmita Rasindran emotionally shared that this year has been a special journey. What she cherishes most is the Miss Charm family, the connections she has made and the Vietnamese people. Every night when she thinks about this, she cannot hold back her tears.

This year's representative beauty of Vietnam is Mai Ngo (Ngo Thi Quynh Mai), born in 1995, with 14 years of experience as a model and 10 years of competing in many beauty contests. She is expected to continue Vietnam's impressive achievements at Miss Charm with Thanh Thanh Huyen in the Top 20 (2023) and Quynh Nga as the second runner-up (2024).

In an interview with VietNamNet , Colombian representative - María José Chacón - shared about her special relationship with the new Miss International 2024 - Catalina Duque, who was just crowned in Japan. The two competed in the same beauty pageant in Colombia and were roommates. She expressed her pride when Kata was crowned and shared that Kata is a great friend, humorous, kind and always supportive. The two still regularly contact and share experiences in their journey to conquer the crown.
