Lang Son College is a public vocational education institution under the direct management of the Provincial People's Committee. It was established through the merger of Lang Son Vocational College and Lang Son Medical College into Lang Son Teacher Training College. Currently, the college offers 25 training programs with nearly 3,000 students; its classrooms, workshops, dormitories, and library are relatively well-equipped. The college's core mission is to improve the quality of education and training management, aligning with the human resource needs of the province and the region. To achieve this goal, starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, the college will review, update, and adjust all its programs towards a more open, practical approach, aligning with the requirements of digital transformation and the socio- economic development goals of the province.
Currently, the campus implements 34 training programs at elementary, intermediate, college, and early childhood education levels; combining a semester-based learning system with module and credit accumulation, allowing learners to choose a suitable path. Simultaneously, the campus is developing and refining training regulations and procedures, applying management software, and moving towards operating a learning management system (LMS), electronic student records, and linking training with scientific research and professional practice.
At the same time, the school strengthens counseling and training in soft skills, digital skills, and entrepreneurship support through civic education weeks, extracurricular activities, and specialized training courses, creating a foundation for students to develop professional and entrepreneurial mindsets right from within the school.
Within that series of activities, the "Career Counseling and Job Fair," held in mid-November 2025, was a highlight, attracting more than 20 businesses, recruitment agencies, and training institutions, providing a visual overview of workforce needs and job requirements.
For students, the job fair was not just an opportunity to visit booths, but also a chance to reflect on themselves. Truong Thanh Hien, a student in the K6 Agricultural and Forestry Economics class, said: "After listening to advice and talking with recruiters, I understand the recruitment criteria and career trends in my field of study better. The specific requirements regarding skills, demeanor, and adaptability made me realize I need to work harder in the remaining time at school to improve my abilities."
Currently, Lang Son College maintains cooperation with more than 20 businesses in the fields of education, healthcare, industry, and services. Businesses participate with the college from providing feedback on training programs, accepting student interns, coordinating training courses based on orders, to supporting equipment and participating in vocational skills assessments. Some technical fields implement a "dual training" model, where students study at the college while practicing at businesses, thereby quickly adapting to the real production environment, work style, and corporate culture.
Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Huyen, Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department, stated: "Expanding cooperation with businesses has enabled the school to significantly innovate its student support efforts. Feedback from businesses, from practical production experiences, and from student internships serves as a crucial basis for adjusting counseling methods, supplementing necessary skills, and organizing appropriate support activities. The goal is to help students quickly adapt to career requirements and maximize their potential upon graduation."
Alongside business cooperation, the school also promotes international cooperation, maintaining the practice of sending Chinese language students abroad for study and internships; organizing training programs in ethnic languages, Chinese, and basic information technology skills… in order to expand learning and employment opportunities for students and meet the requirements of integration.
From curriculum innovation to enhanced career counseling and guidance, and expanded cooperation, the school is steadfastly committed to practical training, placing learners at the center and considering businesses as strategic partners. These activities not only expand opportunities for students but also contribute to creating a skilled, disciplined, and professional workforce that meets the development requirements of the province and region in the new era.
