L'Equipe said Kana-Biyik decided to leave Le Havre on a free transfer and saw MU as the ideal destination to develop his career. The 18-year-old striker's family also supported their son's move to England. The two sides agreed on the final terms for the deal to be completed.
MU beat Monaco and Marseille to get Kana-Biyik's signature. The contract term has not been disclosed. It is expected that the "Red Devils" will let this young striker play on loan at Lausanne, a club owned by Ineos in the Swiss Super League.
Under coach Didier Digard, Kana-Biyik has been named in Le Havre's matchday squad twice in the 2024/25 season, but has yet to make his first-team debut. He appeared on the bench in the Ligue 1 win over Lille in February and in the Coupe de France defeat to Stade Briochin in December 2024.
However, Kana-Biyik has impressed for Le Havre's U19 side, playing the full 90 minutes in eight of their last eight games and scoring four goals, taking his tally for the season to eight.
Kana-Biyik was born in Paris and holds French nationality, with his family having Cameroonian roots. His father, Andre, played for Le Havre in the early 1990s and won 80 caps for Cameroon in a career spanning nearly a decade.
Enzo's brother, Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, also started his career at Le Havre and has played for clubs such as Rennes, Toulouse and Metz.
MU is actively recruiting young talents for the future. Previously, the "Red Devils" also welcomed a series of potential faces such as Chido Obi-Martin (17 years old), Sekou Kone (18), Ayden Heaven (18), Diego Leon (17) and Patrick Dorgu (20).
