The competition, directed by the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations and organized by the Literature and Arts Times in collaboration with CinePlus, invites children to create short stories, drawings, videos , or audio recordings about Cricket.
Get creative with Cricket.
The competition is a literary and artistic playground for children, encouraging them to create works based on the character of Cricket.
The entries can explore a wide range of topics, possessing both educational and artistic value.
These could be fictional stories about the insect world, the adventurous journey and challenging explorations of Cricket and his friends.
It could also be a lesson about friendship, courage, and perseverance.
Through the story with the Cricket, children can express their thoughts on familiar issues such as the environment, social changes, and moral lessons from their own perspectives.

"Children can also be creative and develop new versions of the character, bringing Cricket into the modern world with new and more interesting stories from their own perspectives," the organizers stated at the press conference on March 30.
Mr. Hoang Du, editor-in-chief of the Literature and Arts Times , believes that Cricket is not only a literary character but also a symbol closely associated with many generations of Vietnamese people, especially children.
Failure to provide timely training would be a great waste.
People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien - former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and head of the competition's organizing committee - believes that every generation has talents from a very young age.
"If we don't discover, invest in, and nurture them in time, it will be a great waste. Every child has the potential to be a 'national treasure,' the future," he said.

According to Mr. Bien, the organizers expect the competition to go beyond just literary works.
Hopefully, we can develop high-quality animated films that are on par with those from countries with strong animation industries.
He believes that this approach can broaden the source of creative material, generate many fresh scenarios, and create animated characters that are deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture.
"These characters, if successful, could live on for generations and become the new 'stars' of Vietnamese animation," he expressed.
Mr. Vuong Duy Bien further stated that we have long been accustomed to writing for children from an adult's perspective.
Often, adults think children will enjoy it, but in reality, the children aren't interested.
"Allowing children to be creative, to write their own stories, and then adapting them into animation – that's the right approach. Their emotions and thinking will help create truly engaging entertainment that suits the tastes and preferences of this age group," he said.
That's why the organizers didn't limit the number of entries, encouraging students to experiment with different styles to maximize their literary and artistic creativity.
Students can express their creativity through various forms: short stories, comic/manga/webtoon drawings, or self-narrated videos/audio recordings, submitting their entries directly via postal mail or through the competition website https://sangtacvanhoc.vn .
The judging panel will compile the entries that won first prize each month and select one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and so on. The most suitable entries will be adapted into short animated films.
