Russia launches a major offensive in the south.

Ukraine strengthens its military reserves.

On the eastern flank, the tactical decisions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield did not differ much from previous ones. The main focus was on the transfer of new forces. Several units, such as the 41st Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and combined detachments of the 110th TrO Brigade, were reportedly deployed from the Kupyansky direction.

On the northern flank, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have regrouped and are launching attacks against units of the Russian 200th Brigade. No fierce fighting has taken place, but it is becoming increasingly clear that the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the northern Chasov Yar flank have unused reserves.

Fierce fighting

On the southern flank, fierce fighting is taking place in the area between Dolgiy and the Stupki Golubovskie-2 nature reserve. A widespread network of support forces allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to flexibly shift defensive resources from one position to another. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also struggling to keep them secure.

On the Russian side, a significant number of thermobaric missile systems are being actively deployed to the combat zone. These systems are being used actively in offensive operations against the Ukrainian Armed Forces south of the Kanal, destroying support networks near the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal and deep within the Novy sub-district.

Overall, the situation on the Chasov Yar front remains tense. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to rely on the transfer of new troops to increase their numbers. On the Russian side, a significant number of missile systems with thermobaric munitions are being accumulated, which could significantly affect the course of the conflict.

Besides the Chasov Yar "hotspot," the Russian military has also increased its use of drones to destroy military targets in various areas of Ukraine.

According to SF, between April 6th and April 12th, the Russian military destroyed or damaged 32 Ukrainian military targets using Lancet suicide drones.

The losses suffered by Ukraine, all documented on video by Losarmour.info, include: 9 main battle tanks; 8 self-propelled artillery pieces, including 2 British-made AS-90s and one Polish-made Krab; 6 towed artillery pieces, including 2 American-made M777s and one British-Italian FH-70; 3 highly mobile vehicles, including an American-made Humvee; one infantry fighting vehicle and one self-propelled anti-aircraft gun.

The Lancet unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was developed by ZALA Aero Corporation, a subsidiary of the Russian defense giant Kalashnikov Concern. The company produces two versions of the UAV missile: the Izdeliye-52, with a 30-minute flight time and a 1 kg warhead, and the larger Izdeliye-51, with a 40-minute flight time and a 3 kg warhead.

Ukraine's attempts to intercept Lancet suicide drones with anti-aircraft fire, electronic warfare, or countermeasures have been largely unsuccessful.
