The Vietnamese aerobic team concluded their successful campaign at the 32nd SEA Games with first place overall (5 gold medals). Notably, on May 14th, the team achieved a "double" gold medal win in the mixed doubles and five-person group events. These victories were thanks to the contributions of athletes from Ho Chi Minh City: Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi, Le Hoang Phong, Vuong Hoai An, and Nguyen Che Thanh.

The duo of Le Hoang Phong and Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi displayed seamless coordination to achieve the highest score of 19.233, thus winning the gold medal in the mixed doubles event. Following that, along with Nguyen Viet Anh ( Hai Phong ), Thuy Vi, Hoang Phong, Hoai An, and Che Thanh stepped onto the podium to win the 5-person team event with a near-perfect score of 19.611, 2.144 points ahead of the Thai team in second place. This can be considered a precious reward for the tireless efforts of these young athletes.

Over the years, Ho Chi Minh City has consistently been a leader in the development of aerobic gymnastics, contributing many key athletes to the Vietnamese national team. Ahead of the 32nd SEA Games, the five-person team event, featuring key members from Ho Chi Minh City's aerobic gymnastics team, made a big impact by winning a gold medal at the World Championships.

In fencing, despite not achieving success in the individual events, the fencers from Ho Chi Minh City affirmed their position in the team event. Nguyen Tien Nhat, Nguyen Phuoc Den, Hoang Nhat Nam, and Truong Tran Nhat Minh excellently defeated the Thai team with a score of 45-33 in the men's team sabre final, adding another valuable SEA Games gold medal to the Vietnamese sports delegation.

In the men's 74kg sparring category, the fighter from Ho Chi Minh City started with a 2-0 victory against his opponent from Myanmar. In the final match against a Thai fighter, Hong Phuc performed calmly to secure a 2-1 victory.
