* On the morning of May 4th, the National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province held a conference to gather feedback on the draft Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Notarization and the Law on Auctioning Assets. The conference recorded 11 practical suggestions.

* The industrial production index in Nghe An province increased by more than 11% in April. Specifically, according to the Department of Industry and Trade, the industrial production index in April 2024 in the province is estimated to have increased by 11.23% compared to the same period last year. Specifically: Mining industry increased by 32.75%; Processing and manufacturing industry increased by 12.16%; Water supply, waste management and treatment increased by 6.39%; Electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning production and distribution decreased by 5.28%.

* On the morning of May 4th, Nam Dan district organized a voter consultation on the plan for rearranging commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period at 20 polling stations in 4 communes undergoing merger.

The total number of voters registered to provide feedback on the administrative unit reorganization plan for the period 2023-2025 in 20 polling stations across 4 merged communes in Nam Dan district was 14,338, and the voter turnout rate reached 100%.

* In April 2024, an unusual number of shrimp died in the brackish water shrimp farming area of ​​Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province. Authorities in Nghe An province conducted inspections and collected samples for testing to determine the cause of the disease.

Based on the test results from specialized agencies, it appears that the shrimp deaths in Quynh Luu are most likely not due to disease but rather to shortcomings and weaknesses in shrimp farming methods and infrastructure in the area.
