The "Ma Ho Me" ceremony, celebrating the new rice harvest, is a long-standing tradition passed down from generation to generation. The ceremony is held after the harvest. To pray for health, good fortune, and peace, a wrist-tying ritual is performed.

The thread tied around the wrist symbolizes community solidarity and wishes for a lucky year. The wrist-tying ceremony is a traditional custom deeply rooted in the culture of the Khơ Mú people, often held on important occasions such as Tet (Lunar New Year), housewarming parties, weddings, welcoming honored guests, or bidding farewell to those going far away.

This is also an opportunity for the Khơ Mú people to express their gratitude to their ancestors, strengthen solidarity among members of the community, and reaffirm their belief in a prosperous and happy life.
