For Pham Ngoc Nhu Y (18 years old, from Ben Tre ), studying is the path to a brighter future for herself and her loved ones.
Nhu Y's parents separated when she was young, so her childhood was spent sheltered by her paternal grandparents. Lacking the warmth of love and material comfort, Nhu Y never stopped learning and striving. She believed she was fortunate to have her grandparents by her side. Unfortunately, after a stroke, her grandfather became paralyzed on one side of his body, completely losing his ability to work. The family's hardships did not diminish the willpower and dreams of this young girl. Nhu Y was an excellent student for 12 consecutive years, trusted and elected as the school's Youth Union secretary. She won numerous awards in academic competitions and impressed teachers and friends in local arts and culture programs. This determined Gen Z student was a constant presence at school science and technology events.
Studying far from home, Ý resolved to put in her best effort on her journey to acquire knowledge.
Currently, Nhu Y is a first-year accounting student at the Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade. She is increasingly fond of her learning environment and the field she is pursuing. Outside of class, Nhu Y manages to find time for part-time work and actively participates in meaningful social activities. Each day is a precious gift for this young woman, one she cherishes and values, believing she must live life to the fullest. The new knowledge gained in the classroom and the new social connections have motivated Nhu Y to become more confident in self-improvement, worthy of the expectations of those who love her. "I hope that in the future I can become the pillar of my family, support my grandparents, and be a strong pillar of support for everyone," Nhu Y shared.
