During a search of the car used by Aoki, police discovered approximately 2.67 grams of ketamine hidden in a backpack on the back seat. On June 10th, Aoki was arrested on suspicion of violating Japan's Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Act.

Suzu Sannomiya was in the vehicle at the time of the inspection. The actress voluntarily came to work with the police and cooperated in the verification process. Urine tests showed no signs of drug use, so Suzu Sannomiya was not initially arrested.

After further evidence gathering, police said data from the phones and the investigation revealed that Suzu Sannomiya and Aoki Keishiro spent several days together, including resting in the car where authorities seized the ketamine.
