Mr. Y Tuyen Kbrong (on the left), from Drai H'ling hamlet, Hoa Xuan commune, Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province, regularly helps and supports the people in developing their economy .

To achieve these results, we cannot overlook the contributions of exemplary veterans, including Mr. Y Tuyen Kbron, who embodies the spirit of "Uncle Ho's soldiers"; for nearly two decades, he has been devoted to his village, contributing to building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.

Born in a village, Mr. Y Tuyen Kbron deeply understands and loves the homeland where he grew up. In 1992, after completing his military service and returning to his hometown, he actively participated in the Youth Union and the Veterans Association of Hoa Xuan commune.

Since 2005, he has held various positions such as Head of the Veterans Association Branch, Head of Drai H'ling village, and currently serves as Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of Drai H'ling village. Regardless of his position, he has always been energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated to his work, earning the respect and affection of the people.

Mr. Y Tuyen Kbron said that, as a veteran member, assigned by the organization to be the Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of Drai H'ling village, a village of the Ede ethnic group with a large population, a relatively large area, and many religions living together, he always strives to fulfill his role and responsibilities.

Concerned about the difficult living conditions of some officials, members, and villagers in the hamlet, he directly encouraged the people to strive to overcome poverty. In addition, he coordinated with various departments, agencies, and organizations to encourage villagers to care for coffee and pepper plants, and to plant more durian trees.

He also facilitated connections with Dong Green Production, Trading and Service Co., Ltd. ( Dak Nong province) to enable veteran members and villagers to borrow fertilizer on a deferred payment basis for 12 months, without interest, helping them develop their economy and improve their lives. On average, he helps villagers borrow about 60-70 tons of fertilizer each year.

Thanks to his enthusiastic support, many families have overcome difficulties. Mr. Y To Ktul, a member of the Veterans Association of Drai H'ling village, shared that in 2019, he received support from Mr. Y Tuyen Kbrong in the form of a loan of nearly 2 tons of fertilizer with deferred payment. This allowed him to care for his coffee plants and repay the debt after harvest without worrying about interest. As a result, his family escaped poverty, achieved economic stability, and became relatively well-off.

“Not only members of the veterans' association have access to this support, but many other disadvantaged people have also received loans for fertilizer with deferred payment from Mr. Y Tuyen. This is a very good deed, helping many people develop their economy. I am very grateful to Mr. Y Tuyen,” Mr. Y To Ktul shared.

In addition to supporting loans for fertilizer, Mr. Y Tuyen also pioneered in mobilizing members to participate in livestock farming economic development models. In 2021, the Veterans Association of the commune implemented a model to support poor and near-poor members with seedlings and livestock. Mr. Y Tuyen was one of the first to participate, encouraging others to respond, helping many households, who initially had only one cow, to now have herds of 6-10 cows.

Thanks to support programs and the solidarity of the people, Drai H'ling village now has only 3 poor households, and the Veterans' Association branch no longer has any poor or near-poor households. The lives of the people are improving day by day. It is expected that Drai H'ling village will completely eliminate poverty this year.

Besides economic development, Mr. Y Tuyen also actively encouraged villagers to maintain security and order and build a cultural life. With the motto "keeping the village peaceful from within each family," he regularly organized legal awareness campaigns, proactively monitored the situation, and promptly resolved minor incidents arising at the grassroots level.

“Before every village meeting, I always remind the villagers to abide by the law and unite to build a peaceful village. Thanks to this, for many years, Drai H’ling village has not experienced any serious incidents, and minor conflicts have always been resolved amicably,” Mr. Y Tuyen shared.

Mr. Y Tuyen himself has also continuously strived to develop his family's economy. Currently, he owns 1.3 hectares of coffee intercropped with pepper and durian. Last year, thanks to high coffee prices, the yield reached about 3 tons, providing his family with a stable income. "Before, things were difficult, but now, thanks to hard work and mobilizing the villagers to work together, the life of the village has changed a lot. That's what makes me proud and motivates me to continue striving," Mr. Y Tuyen expressed.

Through his prestige, sense of responsibility, and exemplary conduct, Mr. Y Tuyen has become a solid pillar of support for the village. Mr. Y Hun Byă, Vice Chairman of the Veterans Association of Hoa Xuan commune, commented that Mr. Y Tuyen Kbron is an exemplary member who performs his assigned duties well. He always strives to improve himself. Throughout his time in the association, he has been very enthusiastic in helping members in need, and to date, there are no longer any impoverished members in Drai H'ling village.

Thanks to a loan for fertilizer with a 12-month repayment period, the family of Mr. Y To Ktul (far left) has developed their economy and improved their living standards.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Long, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hoa Xuan commune, having served as village head for nearly 20 years, Mr. Y Tuyen has a firm grasp of the local area, closely monitors the lives of the people, and demonstrates the sense of responsibility of a Party member and a soldier of Uncle Ho. He not only mobilizes people to focus on economic development but also acts as a bridge between the local government and the people, contributing to bringing the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the people effectively and practically.

"Mr. Y Tuyen is a local ethnic minority, deeply rooted in his ethnic traditions, and highly trusted by everyone. All the Party and State's policies and guidelines are disseminated to the people through him. He is the one who keeps the flame alive, connecting the local government with the people, acting as a bridge for local leaders to understand the specific needs and conditions, in order to effectively implement the Party and State's policies and guidelines for the people," Mr. Tran Quang Long remarked.

Every day, Mr. Y Tuyen continues his journey of "going from street to street, knocking on every door" to spread awareness and encourage people to feel secure in their work and stabilize their lives. With dedication, responsibility, and a deep love for their homeland, veterans like Mr. Y Tuyen are contributing to a new face for their villages, affirming the pivotal role of the veterans' association in the construction of new rural areas and the socio-economic development of the locality. From these silent but practical contributions, it can be seen that the spirit of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" is still being kindled and continues to spread strongly in every village and every community.
