The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has clearly announced the specific policies on compensation, support, and resettlement when the State reclaims land to implement the Gia Binh International Airport construction project.
Accordingly, the province will provide support equivalent to 30% of the residential land price according to the land price list of that plot or adjacent residential plot for the area within the allocated residential land limit; and support equivalent to 10% of the residential land price according to the land price list of that plot or adjacent residential plot for the area outside the allocated residential land limit, but not exceeding 600 m2. No support will be provided for areas larger than 600 m2.
In cases of land expropriation for residential purposes, those whose land is expropriated will receive housing rental assistance while awaiting resettlement. Specifically, the assistance level is 1.5 million VND per person per month; households with only one person will receive 3 million VND per month. The assistance will be provided for 12 months from the time the landowner hands over the land and relocates. Eligible individuals are those registered as permanent residents in the household at the time the compensation, support, and resettlement plan is approved.
Compensation for damages when the State reclaims land for aquaculture without a production process issued by a competent authority and which cannot be relocated is 9,000 VND/m2 (of the reclaimed aquaculture land area).
In addition to the specific policies mentioned above, other aspects of compensation, support, and resettlement for the Project shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Land Law 2024 and its implementing regulations; and the specific Decisions on compensation, support, and resettlement issued by the Provincial People's Committee.
