When listening to Ho Quynh Huong, Khanh Linh, Hoang Hai, and Olpus sing Phu Quang's songs at the "Love Remains" concert on the evening of October 25th in the garden of the Hanoi Opera House, many Phu Quang music lovers suddenly realized that his music was not simply melancholic.

It was a special Phu Quang concert, marking the first time a live Phu Quang music show was held outdoors, outside of luxurious concert halls.
And the singers are mostly new faces in Phu Quang's music, such as Ho Quynh Huong, Khanh Linh, Hoang Hai, and Oplus.
Not only are the vocals new, but the songs have also been completely rearranged by Luu Ha An, making them unique and appealing.
Ho Quynh Huong admitted she was very nervous.
After the initial surprise of hearing these "unfamiliar" voices singing Phu Quang's melancholic jazz and rock songs, Phu Quang's fans gradually became delighted and excited.
Especially when they heard Ho Quynh Huong sing powerful, melancholic rock songs , Hoang Hai sing "Em oi Ha Noi pho " with a rock vibe , and Khanh Linh sing "Co phai mua thu giau em lau den the the " in a captivating jazz style…
The young men of the band Oplus also brought a romantic and playful youthful spirit to songs that might otherwise seem quite "old-fashioned" in Phu Quang's reminiscences.
Ho Quynh Huong sings "Sadness" with a blue jazz style.
Appearing in the latter half of the show, Ho Quynh Huong, in a seductive, form-fitting red dress, hinted to the audience that this was her first time singing Phu Quang's songs in front of a Hanoi audience, and that the songs assigned to her by the live show's music director, composer Giang Son, in new arrangements by Luu Ha An, were all very challenging.
She skillfully prepared the audience mentally before they heard her sing Phu Quang's songs in a way very different from what they had heard before, because Phu Quang's simple music certainly couldn't challenge a strong, beautiful, and versatile voice like hers.
And the audience was not disappointed when they heard Ho Quynh Huong sing "Sadness," "Desolation," "Sad Rock," etc., with jazz and rock influences.
When singing about sadness and loneliness, it seems as though Ho Quynh Huong drags the audience down to the depths of utter despair, but it is the sadness of someone who has gradually learned to let go.
Ho Quynh Huong confided that when Giang Son heard her sing "Sadness" and "Desolation," she felt utterly heartbroken and devastated. She said she had felt that way herself at times.
When the audience heard her sing the song "Quạnh Hiu" (Desolation), in some of the climactic sections, it seemed as if Ho Quynh Huong was sobbing about her sadness.

Phu Quang's daughter played the piano for the first time, accompanying Tan Minh's singing.
With her beautiful voice, Khánh Linh also brings a more sophisticated, chamber-like quality to Phú Quang's music.
Tan Minh – a familiar voice to Phu Quang – appeared last, acting as a balancing element to conclude Phu Quang's experimental concert.
He sang "The Sea, Nostalgia and You," "Mother," "Returning to the Old Street," and "Hanoi on the Day of Return" in his familiar style but with fresh new arrangements.
Notably, the song "Sea, Nostalgia and You " was sung by Tan Minh accompanied by the piano of composer Phu Quang's eldest daughter, artist Trinh Huong, instead of Phu Quang accompanying him as before.

Trinh Huong said this was also the first time she had accompanied a singer performing a song by her father.
As a professional classical musician, Trinh Huong said she was very happy that her father's music continues to be experimented with and explored in new ways by artists, and that new voices singing Phu Quang's music are being embraced by the audience.
Earlier, at the press conference for the concert, composer Giáng Son stated that choosing singers less familiar with Phú Quang's music was her intention to create new colors for these two concerts of Phú Quang's works.
Khánh Linh sings "Has Autumn Hidden You For So Long?" with a fresh, jazz-infused arrangement.
