This is one of the activities of the 2025 "Back to the Roots" trip, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association from September 12th to 14th, 2025, for many generations of musicians, singers, and members of the Association to participate. The trip aims to give today's generation of artists an opportunity to recall the heroic struggles of their ancestors, express gratitude, and remember the sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs who died for national independence and freedom.

The delegation of musicians and singers from Ho Chi Minh City offered incense and flowers at the Ap Bac historical site, visited the Monument to the Steel and Iron Squad, paid respects at the graves of three Heroes of the People's Armed Forces: Nguyen Van Dung, Do Van Trach, and Le Van Toan; offered incense and flowers at the Rach Gam - Xoai Mut historical site, visited the pier, the Xeo Quyt historical site, and the Nam Phuong Linh Tu Temple historical and cultural site...
Later that afternoon, the delegation visited the Temple of National Hero Truong Dinh and the Royal Mausoleum.

On the evening of September 13th, the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association held a cultural exchange program between musicians and singers from Ho Chi Minh City and artists, musicians, and singers from Dong Thap province, with the theme "Music Shines Bright" .

During the program, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association - musician Nguyen Quang Vinh - launched the 2025 songwriting theme, which includes: children's and youth songs such as "I Love the City Named After Uncle Ho" ; songs about studying and following the thoughts, style, and ethics of Ho Chi Minh and the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army with the theme "Uncle Ho's Words in Our Hearts" ; compositions of instrumental and choral works praising the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army, the development of Ho Chi Minh City, love for the homeland, the people, the new Ho Chi Minh City, entering a new era - the era of national progress; theoretical and critical essays on music ; and songs promoting the election of National Assembly representatives for the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term...
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association is welcoming new members to build a team of successors in musical art and uphold the traditions of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association.
