A total of six cruise ships remain stranded in the Persian Gulf due to the conflict in the Middle East, forcing airlines to cancel numerous voyages and turning these floating paradises into chaos. While the vast majority of the 15,000 passengers on board the stranded ships have been repatriated via charter flights and other transportation options, approximately six cruise ships and thousands of crew members have not been so fortunate.
According to People , these cruise ships include MSC Euribia (currently in Dubai), TUI's Mein Schiff 4 (currently in Abu Dhabi), Mein Schiff 5 (currently in Doha), Celestyal Cruises' Discovery (currently in Dubai), Journey (currently in Doha), and Saudi Arabia's AroyaManara (currently in Dubai). All of their locations can be found on CruiseMapper.

Returning to safer waters would require passing through the Strait of Hormuz – which is obviously impossible. According to reports, it takes up to two weeks for shipping companies to bring passengers back home.
Earlier, a representative from MSC Cruises stated that a "dedicated flight operation" had been launched to bring passengers from the Euribia ship home via at least five chartered flights.
Currently, affected companies must find ways to accommodate passengers on future scheduled trips. TUI has announced that scheduled trips on the Mein Schiff 4 until April 11 will be cancelled, while the Mein Schiff 5 will be suspended until April 24.
Celestyal Cruises also announced the cancellation of three scheduled voyages – two Mediterranean cruises on the Journey and one trip to a Greek island on the Discovery. Meanwhile, MSC's Euribia will not resume voyages until its return trip from Kiel, Germany, on May 2nd.
