After nearly a year out of poverty, the household economy of Mr. Vo Tin, Luong Mai village, Phong Chuong commune, Phong Dien district is increasingly stable. The livelihood model of breeding cows is supported by the State and has brought his family an income of more than 10 million VND. For sustainable economic development, in addition to the agricultural land area granted by the State, Mr. Tin boldly rented 1 more acre of field to grow rice; at the same time combine with building a model of integrated poultry farming with hundreds of chickens, ducks, geese, bringing regular income for the family.
Supported by the local government with 4 initial breeding pigs, plus preferential loans, Tran Minh and his wife, Tan An village, Loc Binh commune, Phu Loc district decided to start a business. In order to make a profit, Mr. Minh makes use of rice and vegetable by-products in agricultural production as animal feed. In each litter of pigs, in addition to selling breeding pigs for revolving capital, Mr. Minh keeps a few pigs to multiply. At the same time, he and his wife used preferential loans to invest in afforestation and logging. Finding a suitable economic development direction, Minh and his wife were excited to work hard. On average, his family produces 1,5 tons of pigs each year, plus income from acacia, melaleuca and rice production, Minh's family has officially escaped poverty.
While raising children alone, Nguyen Thi Mai, from Diem Truong 2 village, Vinh Hung commune, Phu Loc district is not alone in her journey out of poverty. Not only was she supported by the local government to remove temporary houses, she was also given a livelihood by the commune's women's association, creating a means of doing business to have a stable income. Having a stable house and stable income, Mai actively wrote an application to get out of poverty.
After 2 years of emulation movement "For the poor - Leaving no one behind" in the period of 2021-2025, the poverty rate in the whole province decreased from 4,93% at the end of 2021 to 3,56 % at the end of 2022, exceeding 1,37% of the set target. In 2023, Thua Thien Hue strives to reduce the overall poverty rate in the province to 2,79%, of which the percentage of poor households being ethnic minorities will decrease by 3% or more, and the percentage of poor households in communes with low income will be reduced to 25%. the rate of poor households above 4% will decrease from XNUMX% or more.

Districts, towns, cities and communes, wards and townships, depending on local practical conditions, propose contents and solutions for poverty reduction; allocate and mobilize maximum resources for poverty reduction; linking the development of the new countryside with the movement "The whole country joins hands to build a new countryside"; launching Peak Month Day for the Poor; organize activities to support Tet care for the poor, build great solidarity houses and houses of compassion.
The major policy of the Party and State on solving the housing needs for low-income people and housing for workers in industrial zones and clusters is also focused on implementing by the provincial government.
Up to now, the whole province has completed 3 housing projects for low-income people with 1.242 apartments, reaching 30% of the set target in the period 2021-2025. Currently, the province is actively promoting the construction of 7 projects, including 5 projects for low-income people with a scale of 6.386 apartments, 2 housing projects for workers with 4.160 apartments. This will be an important "springboard" for low-income people to rise up and demonstrate the humanistic motto "Leave no one behind".
