The 2026 summer tourism market is entering its most vibrant period of the year. From famous beaches and entertainment venues to urban exploration trips, all are recording a significant increase in visitor numbers.

Nearby tourism is booming.

On weekends, the tourist atmosphere in Ho Chi Minh City becomes much more vibrant. From early morning, the Ben Thanh metro station area is bustling with locals and tourists. Families with young children, groups of young friends, and tourists from all over board the train to begin their exploration of the city. Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, a resident of Tan Thoi Hiep ward, shared that his family had just had a fun weekend trip using public transport. In the morning, the whole family took a bus to the metro station to catch the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien train. In the evening, the family continued to use the bus to return home.

"There's no need to worry about finding parking or traffic jams, and the cost of transportation is much more economical than driving a private car. The buses are new, clean, and very convenient, so the whole family likes them," said Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong.

Observations at Suoi Tien Cultural Tourist Area show a vibrant summer atmosphere, highlighted by the Southern Fruit Festival. The tourist area has also introduced a series of new attractions such as the Mega Zone entertainment area, a multi-colored inflatable slide, the World of Childhood - Cat Tuong Castle, a high-speed race slide, and an infinity slide at Tien Dong Beach. Besides traditional entertainment, new experiential products are also creating a strong appeal. One of them is the helicopter tour to view the city from above. This is a high-end product chosen by many tourists to refresh their summer travel experience.

Meanwhile, waterway tourism routes continue to attract visitors. From Bach Dang Wharf, many boats take tourists upstream on the Saigon River to craft villages, fruit orchards, and eco-tourism destinations in the coastal areas of Binh Duong; and to hike in the Dinh Mountain Base historical site, about 30km from the center of Vung Tau... Recently, a high-speed ferry route from Nha Rong - Khanh Hoi Port to Con Dao has been put into operation. With a travel time of about 5 hours and 15 minutes to 5 hours and 30 minutes, and a standard ticket price ranging from 965,000 VND to 1,075,000 VND per trip, this transportation route offers another convenient option for tourists wanting to explore Con Dao.

Not only are entertainment venues in cities experiencing peak tourist season, but many beaches across the country are also entering their peak season. In Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Nang, and Vung Tau, beachfront resorts and hotels are seeing a significant increase in occupancy rates on weekends. On the beaches, groups of tourists are participating in water sports and enjoying a vibrant summer vacation.

The airline is also implementing "Hunt for 8K Tickets" programs, offering a 15% discount on weekend fares and direct discounts of 88,000 VND on domestic flights.

Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines Group significantly increased its supply capacity with approximately 28,300 domestic flights, equivalent to nearly 5.5 million seats. Resources were focused on routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with major coastal and island tourist centers nationwide. The airline also implemented several promotional programs such as "Brilliant Thursday" offering a 15% discount on domestic airfares and the "Summer Welcome" program with one-way tickets starting from 900,000 VND per person.

Mr. Le Hong Ha, General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said that the airline always strives to build a flexible pricing policy and implement many promotional programs to give people more opportunities to travel by air at affordable prices. Simultaneously, the airline focuses on maximizing operational efficiency and optimizing operating costs. By organizing a more reasonable flight schedule, the airline is committed to balancing supply capacity to provide stable ticket prices that best suit passengers' financial conditions this summer.

Visiting Dong Thap this summer, tourists are captivated by the lush green spaces of rambutan, strawberry, grape, and durian orchards, as well as modern farms. No longer just purely agricultural production sites, many households have boldly "transformed" their gardens and land to develop tourism.

Mr. Doan Van Ngoc, owner of Ngoc Hoa rambutan orchard (Lai Vung commune), shared that renovating the old orchard into a model linked with ecotourism has brought new income. Visitors come here not only to pick fruit but also to immerse themselves in the pristine environment, go boating, take photos, and enjoy rustic, authentic Mekong Delta cuisine.
