Give love through empathy.

For Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Van (63 years old, Bac Lieu ward), her journey of charitable work did not originate from abundance, but rather from everyday concerns. Every time she witnessed the poor and sick, she felt uneasy. Ms. Van understood that behind poverty was not only a lack of material possessions, but also a feeling of being forgotten.

Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Van visited and presented gifts to families in difficult circumstances in Vinh Trach ward.

It was this empathy that motivated her, after many years of planning, to establish the " Loving Heart" charity group with her friends in 2014. Initially, the charity group had only a few members, but through sincerity and transparency, it spread its influence, attracting many participants and becoming a familiar support system for many disadvantaged people both within and outside the province.

Ms. Van's charitable trips not only bring rice, noodles, medicine, or financial support, but also genuine care and kindness. From cities to remote, mountainous areas, every school bag for children, every warm coat, every small gift package is given with respect, as if giving away a part of her own love.

Among those who received help, the plight of Mrs. Ngoc Phuong from Bac Lieu ward was particularly heartbreaking. Old and living alone in a cramped rented room, she suffers from a life-threatening liver cirrhosis, her health steadily deteriorating. Yet, she still tries to sell lottery tickets to support herself. As her illness worsens and her legs lose the strength to walk, her life is gradually becoming hopeless.

Knowing her situation, Ms. Van and the members of the "Loving Heart" group regularly visited her, providing rice, necessities, and living expenses. The gifts weren't large, but they were enough for Ms. Phuong to feel that she wasn't alone in life.
