NINH BINH: OPENING CEREMONY OF THE "SPRING 2026 PRESS FESTIVAL"

Amidst the joyful atmosphere celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, on the morning of February 11th (corresponding to the 24th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake), the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province, in coordination with the Provincial Journalists Association, solemnly organized the opening ceremony of the Spring Press Festival 2026 at Facility 1 of the Ninh Binh Provincial Library, Hoa Lu ward.

The delegates cut the ribbon to officially open the event.

Attending the opening ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Dinh Viet Dung, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Department; Nguyen Duc Toan, Head of the Provincial Party Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Dang Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Pham Thi Thu Hang, Director of Ninh Binh Newspaper, Radio and Television. Also present were leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports , the Provincial Journalists Association, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office, and other provincial departments and agencies.

With the theme "Celebrating the Party, celebrating the Spring, and welcoming the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party," the 2026 Spring Press Exhibition displays approximately 500 Spring editions of newspapers and magazines from central and local press agencies nationwide. These publications are rich in content and diverse in form, comprehensively reflecting the outstanding achievements in the political , economic, cultural, social, and national defense and security fields of the country and Ninh Binh province over the past year.

The Spring Newspaper Fair is a meaningful annual cultural event aimed at introducing to readers and the people of the province the outstanding spring editions of newspapers and magazines from central and local press agencies.

In addition, the exhibition also features book models and a book exhibition themed "Celebrating the Success of the First Ninh Binh Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Party"; and displays and exhibitions of paintings and calligraphy – one of the beautiful cultural aspects of the Vietnamese people.

The Spring Press Festival is not only a gathering place for outstanding journalistic publications but also an opportunity for journalist members and reporters from central and local press agencies to network, exchange professional knowledge, and learn from each other's experiences; aiming to build a professional and modern press that meets the requirements of political tasks and the increasingly high information needs of the people.

The Spring Press Festival 2026 is one of the opening activities in a series of cultural events celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 in the province, creating momentum, motivation, confidence, and social consensus to successfully implement the Party's strategic decisions, and to celebrate the success of the 1st Ninh Binh Provincial Party Congress, the 14th National Congress of the Party, and other political events in 2026.

This is also an opportunity to look back and be proud of the comprehensive achievements in the fields of economy, culture, society, national defense and security that the Party Committee, government, military and people of Ninh Binh province have achieved in 2025. Through this, we will create a new momentum and determination to enter 2026 with many new expectations and victories.

Through the Spring Newspaper Fair, Ninh Binh Provincial Library continues to affirm its role as a local information and cultural center, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge, the development of reading culture, and meeting the spiritual needs of the people during the traditional Lunar New Year.

The Ninh Binh Province Spring Newspaper Exhibition 2026 will be on display and open from February 11, 2026 to March 11, 2026 simultaneously at three locations of the Ninh Binh Provincial Library, including: No. 4 Le Hong Phong Street, Hoa Lu Ward; No. 100 Le Hong Phong Street, Nam Dinh Ward; and Tran Phu Street, Phu Ly Ward.
