Create jobs, increase income

In recent times, Quang Ninh commune has always focused on synchronously implementing solutions and support policies to create jobs and increase income for people; including job creation in the action plan to implement socio-economic development tasks; focusing on disseminating policies of the Central and the province on job creation and poverty reduction to the people. Along with that, relevant unions, departments and offices have actively created jobs for workers through loan programs and projects to support job creation, maintain and expand employment.

Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Quang Ninh Commune, Ha Xuan Hung, said that the association has focused on mobilizing, guiding, and supporting farmers to participate in the development of collective economy , cooperative groups, and cooperatives to concentrate on production, business, and increase income. Currently, the whole commune has 11 cooperatives operating in various fields; 16 small and medium-sized comprehensive farms. Many branches and professional associations have effectively developed production, creating jobs for many local workers.

Typical examples include: Ha Kien Aquaculture Professional Association has 21 members, commercial shrimp output reaches 85 tons, revenue reaches 85 billion VND, average income 500 million VND/member/year; Ham Ninh Watermelon Professional Association has 45 members with a production scale of 50 hectares/year, economic value output of nearly 1.4 billion VND, average income of nearly 250 million VND/member/year; Agarwood Craft Village Association has 37 members, revenue reaches 16 billion VND, average income 450 million VND/year...

To facilitate economic development for its members, the Commune Farmers' Association has played a good role as a bridge, promptly transferring credit capital to the people. Currently, the association is effectively managing capital sources of nearly 92 billion VND; of which the Farmers' Support Fund at all levels is 3.7 billion VND; other banks are 87 billion VND, lending to over 1,100 households.

In addition, the Commune Farmers' Association has coordinated to open vocational training classes on mushroom growing, aquaculture... for 70 members, contributing to improving the quality of human resources for agricultural development and new rural construction; organizing for officials and members to visit and learn effective production and business models; supporting the introduction of OCOP products in the area to the Postmart e-commerce trading floor... Through opening product display booths, many typical agricultural products of farmer members are introduced and connected with a large number of customers inside and outside the province.

Join hands for the poor

With the motto "No one is left behind", the work of caring for the lives of poor households and policy families has been carried out with attention by the Party Committee and the government of Quang Ninh commune with many meaningful and practical activities, contributing to the good implementation of social security policies in the locality.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Commune Nguyen Thi Nhu Ngoc said that from 2024 to now, the Commune Front has coordinated with the superior Front to mobilize resources to build 26 new houses and repair 2 "Great Unity" houses for poor households, near-poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances, households affected by natural disasters with a budget of over 1.3 billion VND. The Front and socio-political organizations coordinated to organize programs: "Support to go to school", "Godmother", "Foster children of the Union"... to support and give gifts to 284 poor, orphaned, and disadvantaged students with a total amount of nearly 125 million VND...

Quang Ninh commune has always paid attention to social security work, directed to implement it seriously, fully, promptly, and to the right subjects, ensuring democracy, publicity, and transparency. Every year, the commune organizes visits and presents gifts to policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances on holidays and Tet; supports the construction of "Great Unity" houses; receives and distributes money and goods for natural disaster relief and subsidies for holidays and Tet to the right subjects. In addition, the commune also effectively implements policies for people with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs, war invalids and sick soldiers; cares for the lives of people with meritorious services to the revolution; completes repairs and builds new houses for people with meritorious services, and eliminates temporary houses for poor and near-poor households in the area.

Responding to the peak month of "For the poor" in 2025, agencies, units, businesses and people in Quang Ninh commune contributed nearly 490 million VND to support the "For the poor" Fund. From this fund, the "For the poor" Fund Mobilization Committee of the commune will organize gift giving to poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances in the commune.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Commune Party Committee Pham Thi Bich Hue, thanks to the active participation of the entire political system, poverty reduction work in Quang Ninh commune has recorded many positive results, with an average poverty reduction rate of 1.34% per year. In the coming time, Quang Ninh commune will continue to strengthen the propaganda and dissemination of legal policies on poverty reduction; fully and promptly implement policies and preferential regimes for people with meritorious services; promote the movements "Repaying gratitude", "When drinking water, remember its source"... to mobilize all resources in society, the community and the State to better care for the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services to the revolution; implement programs and models of sustainable poverty reduction; stabilize and improve the quality of life for the poor; pay attention to vocational training for workers associated with sustainable poverty reduction projects, job creation and labor export...
