Phu Yen : "Let's do our best for the Fatherland"

Attending the military enlistment ceremony in Tuy Hoa City (Phu Yen province) were Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army; Ms. Cao Thi Hoa An, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee; Major General Ngo Quoc Huong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; and thousands of local people.

This year, Phu Yen province has been assigned to select and recruit 2,223 citizens for military service. Of these, 1,903 young men (including 3 women) will be assigned to military units, and 330 young men will be assigned to the People's Public Security Force.

Representing the 259 young men from Tuy Hoa City who are enlisting in the army, Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan (Ward 2, Tuy Hoa City) expressed his gratitude for the attention of the local Party committee and government in solemnly organizing the farewell ceremony for the young men joining the army.

"We pledge to uphold the patriotic traditions of our forefathers and are ready to march forward to fulfill our sacred duty to our homeland and country," Tan stated.

Bidding farewell to her grandson before he left for military service, Mrs. Pham Thi Le (65 years old, Phu Dong Ward, Tuy Hoa City) cheered him on from afar: "Keep going, grandson, do your best for the Fatherland, you must excellently complete the assigned tasks. The family always supports you."

Gia Lai: Party members volunteer to enlist in the army.

Also on the morning of February 13th, the Military Service Councils in 17 districts, towns, and cities of Gia Lai province simultaneously held the 2025 military enlistment ceremony, bidding farewell to 2,875 young people (including 6 female volunteers). Of these, 2,406 young people will perform military service, and 469 citizens will perform service in the People's Public Security Force.

Of the total number of young people enlisting in the military in Gia Lai this year, 45 are volunteer Party members, and 144 are young people with university, college, or vocational school degrees (an increase of 14 citizens compared to 2024).

The units receiving recruits in Gia Lai this year include: Military Region 5, Corps 34, Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command, Gia Lai Provincial Military Command, 372nd Air Defense Division, Gia Lai Provincial Police, etc.

Quang Ngai: Higher quality of military recruitment

In Quang Nam province, 2,788 young men enlisted in the army this year. According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command, the quality of recruitment this year is higher than in previous years. Specifically, Quang Ngai province has 26 young men who are Party members enlisting, and 890 young men who volunteered.

Young men from Quang Ngai province who enlisted in the army were assigned to 11 units, including: the 320th Division, the 10th Division (34th Corps); the 2nd Infantry Division, the 307th Division, the 575th Brigade, the General Staff, and the Logistics and Technical Department (Military Region 5); the 96th Brigade of the General Staff (Ministry of National Defense); the 4th Naval Region Command; the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Border Guard Command of Quang Ngai.

Kon Tum: 100% of targets met

In Kon Tum, 800 young men are enlisting in the military this time. According to the Kon Tum Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Military Service Council has ensured 100% of the recruitment target is met, with improving quality and a harmonious composition of ethnic groups. Local authorities, organizations, and units have done a good job in implementing policies, visiting and giving gifts to families in difficult circumstances, closely monitoring the morale of the young men, and encouraging and creating conditions for them to confidently enlist.

Binh Dinh: A mother's kiss as she bids her son farewell.

In 2025, Binh Dinh province was assigned a quota of 2,807 young men to be recruited into the armed forces. Of these, the army was assigned a quota of 2,450 young men, and the police force was assigned a quota of 357 young men.

According to observations by Thanh Nien reporters at the military recruitment point in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh province), on the morning of February 13th, many young men were leaving for military service, chatting, socializing, and encouraging each other with their relatives.

While hugging and encouraging her son as he left for military service, Mrs. Le Thi Thoa (from Quy Nhon City) said that her son's enlistment made the family proud. "I hope my son will strive and train well to contribute to protecting the Fatherland," Mrs. Thoa said.

Speaking at the military enlistment ceremony, Mr. Ngo Hoang Nam, Chairman of the Quy Nhon City People's Committee, called on the young men to uphold traditions, strive to study and train hard, and successfully complete their assigned tasks, living up to the expectations of their homeland and families.

"The units have actively coordinated with local authorities and families to monitor, educate, and train young people to quickly integrate into the military and police environment so that they can study, train, and successfully complete all tasks," Mr. Nam emphasized.

Lam Dong: Volunteer applications

On the morning of February 13th, at Lam Vien Square (Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province), the Da Lat City Military Service Council held the 2025 military enlistment ceremony. Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc, Acting Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, attended and encouraged the new recruits before their enlistment.

Of the 1,201 young people in Lam Dong province expected to enlist in the army in 2025, 662 volunteered to join. In Da Lat City alone, out of 204 new recruits, 148 volunteered to enlist.

According to statistics from the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, out of 1,201 young men enlisting in 2025, 60.9% were classified as having health categories 1 and 2. 455 of them (36.1%) were high school graduates, and 96 (7.6%) had vocational, college, or university degrees.

Among the young men recruited this time, there are 639 from various religions and 535 from ethnic minority groups. This year, 23 of the recruits are Party members.

On the morning of February 13th, the 2025 military conscription ceremony took place at 10.3 Square (Buon Ma Thuot City, Dan Lak Province), with the participation of local authorities and a large number of people from the city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, said that this year there are 359 new recruits performing military service in the city. Among them are 2 young women and 6 Party members.

This year, Buon Ma Thuot City has 53% of its youth volunteering to join the military; 31% have college or university degrees; over 80% have a high school education; 100 are from ethnic minorities and 259 are Kinh (Vietnamese) ethnic minority.
