Determined to prosper in this challenging area, Mr. Bui Van Trinh, from the East area of Mong Cai 2 ward, invested in high-tech whiteleg shrimp farming, gradually building a brand of clean agricultural products. Mr. Trinh stated: “Only with diligent work and systematic production can we hope for sustainable results. I always believe that my success must be linked to providing employment for the local people and contributing to the transformation of my homeland.” Currently, Mr. Trinh's farm generates over 1.8 billion VND in profit annually, creating jobs for more than 20 local workers with an average salary of 9 million VND per person per month.
Besides enriching himself, over the years, Mr. Trinh has also supported 7 policy-beneficiary households with housing, 11 near-poor and disadvantaged households with production capital, and contributed hundreds of millions of VND to the construction of new rural areas, becoming one of the outstanding examples in the locality in the "Excellent Farmer in Production and Business" movement.

Playing a leading role in building new rural areas, successful farming and business households have pioneered and set examples in implementing criteria, directly contributing resources to build rural infrastructure. Over the past five years, farmers throughout the province have donated over 364,000 m² of land, contributed more than 28,000 man-days of labor, and participated in repairing and upgrading over 2,600 km of rural roads and nearly 1,400 km of irrigation canals. Many households have actively built model gardens, model households, and model new rural residential areas, contributing to a significant transformation of the rural landscape, especially in mountainous, border, and island regions. To date, the average income of rural people in Quang Ninh has reached over 81.4 million VND/person/year. By the end of 2023, the province had completed its new rural area construction goals, three years ahead of the target set by the Government. The province no longer has any poor households according to the multidimensional poverty standard for the period 2021-2025.
Alongside the construction of new rural areas, outstanding farmers play a core role in the development of the One Commune One Product (OCOP). The province currently has nearly 500 OCOP products rated 3 stars or higher, with 186 participating entities; 100% of OCOP products meeting standards have been listed on e-commerce platforms, gradually expanding their market both within and outside the province. Many exemplary OCOP products, such as Ba Che golden flower tea, Binh Lieu vermicelli, Hoanh Bo guava, Dang Phuong fish sauce, and Tien Yen chicken, are directly branded, produced, promoted, and sold by outstanding farmers, generating stable annual revenue and profit growth.

The movement has also produced many exemplary individuals who have both legitimately enriched themselves and actively supported the community, linking farmers to develop production through cooperative models and creating stable jobs for rural workers. Among these exemplary individuals is young farmer Tran Van Hoang, a San Chi ethnic minority from Binh Lieu commune. Starting with an initial cassava vermicelli factory based on a borrowed capital of only 200 million VND, Mr. Hoang has built the Huc Dong Agricultural, Forestry and Service Cooperative, providing regular employment for about 20 San Chi workers with a stable income of 10-15 million VND per month. This model is currently leading to a movement to cultivate cassava on a scale of about 10 hectares, helping dozens of households have a stable market outlet, and many families escape poverty sustainably. Another example is Mr. Vu Minh Thuong, Director of the Toan Phu Agricultural and Forestry Production and Service Cooperative, who has linked 62 farmer members in fruit tree cultivation combined with experiential tourism in the Dong Giua area, Hoang Bo ward.
With a central and core role in building new rural areas and developing OCOP (One Commune One Product), in the coming time, the team of skilled farmers will continue to be an important force contributing to realizing the goal of building a prosperous, civilized, and modern rural area in Quang Ninh in the new development phase.
