Yellowing leaves and root rot caused by nematodes and soil fungi are often referred to by farmers as "cancer" of the crop, leaving them feeling helpless.

Control nematodes and yellow leaf rot.
On March 25th, Syngenta Vietnam launched Vaniva® 45SC, a plant protection product specifically designed to treat nematodes that cause yellowing leaves and root rot in crops.

The product was launched and has been used in the process of eliminating nematodes and preventing yellowing and root rot in crops, after 5,000 field trials on hundreds of crops in more than 60 countries.
"Vaniva® 45SC has effectively eradicated nematodes and minimized yellowing and root rot," affirmed Mr. Tran Thanh Vu, General Director of Syngenta Vietnam.
Mr. Vu stated that with its mechanism of eliminating nematodes that attack the roots, the Vaniva 45SC product offers a breakthrough effect in completely eradicating nematodes.

In addition to eliminating nematodes, Vaniva 45SC also protects the root system from harmful soil-borne fungal diseases, thus providing the most effective control of nematodes and yellowing/root rot currently available.
Mr. Phan Viet Ha, Deputy Director of the Tay Nguyen Forestry Science and Technology Institute, discussed Vaniva 45SC and its core TYMIRIUM® technology: "The root system is very sensitive but lives in a complex environment containing fungi and microorganisms."
When nematodes bore through the protective layer of the roots, in addition to nematodes, opportunistic soil-borne fungi will also have the opportunity to attack the roots, causing yellowing leaves and root rot.
By the time farmers clearly see the symptoms, the crops have already reached a stage where they cannot be saved. In the Central Highlands, nematode diseases are a major problem for coffee and durian farmers."

Dr. Ha stated that in 2024, the Tay Nguyen Forestry Science and Technology Institute collaborated with Syngenta Vietnam to conduct trials of Vaniva 450SC on durian trees in the Central Highlands region.
"From field trials, we have observed very promising results, with a very high effectiveness in preventing nematode diseases in durian trees, reaching nearly 100% effectiveness."
"As a result, all indicators such as new root growth, new shoot emergence, and new leaf growth were about 25% higher than the control group, and crop yield was 5.5 tons/ha higher than the control group," Mr. Ha said.
It does not cause adverse effects on soil quality.
Cathy Wei, Director of Marketing and Business Development for AMEA at Syngenta, explained: "We have conducted 15 years of research on over 100 crops in 60 countries worldwide and introduced the technology in Europe, Australia, South Korea, etc., before launching it in Vietnam."
Vaniva® 450SC has a mechanism of action that helps eliminate nematodes in the soil, maximally preventing fungal diseases from invading and causing root rot in crops, thus providing comprehensive protection for plant roots.

This product contains the active ingredient Cyclobutrifluram, which penetrates deep into the nematode's skin and disables its respiratory function.
As a result, nematodes and soil fungi will be quickly paralyzed and completely destroyed, providing comprehensive protection for the plant's root system.
Specifically, Vaniva 450SC helps the root system to develop strongly and extensively, absorbing nutrients better, allowing plants to recover quickly, producing vigorous new shoots, greener and thicker leaves, increasing photosynthesis, and making plants healthier, laying the foundation for a bountiful and productive harvest.
Cathy Wei emphasized: "The mechanism of Vaniva 450SC does not negatively affect soil quality, nor does it suppress beneficial microorganisms for plants."
Therefore, it can be said that Vaniva 450SC does not negatively impact sustainable agricultural practices."
