The Co Tu smile

When the t'mooi chr'nắp (*) visited the Co Tu village, the atmosphere was as joyful as a festival; the spacious communal house suddenly became crowded as a large crowd of villagers flocked there.

sparkling eyes and a smile

Close to the clouds
You and the high mountains in the border region.
Hunger and pain have receded into the distant past.
The village elder said cheerfully.

New life today
The sadness shrouded in smoke is gone forever.
Border guards work with their hands and speak with their mouths.
helping people overcome poverty.

Everyone, every family, is no longer struggling.
The Co Tu people's smiles are radiant.
