With over 200 members, the Lao Cai Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association is gradually building its brand and asserting its position in a highly competitive business environment.

One Monday morning at Le Hong Phong Secondary School ( Yen Bai Ward), students participated in a program to raise awareness and provide training on preventing seduction, fraud, and school violence. The schoolyard became lively as the students participated in simulated scenarios, skill-building games, and practical lessons that helped them recognize safety risks and improve their accident and injury prevention skills.

Few people know that behind these meaningful programs lies the dedication of young businesswoman Le Thi Hoang Anh - General Director of the Vietnam Institute for Safety Education, headquartered in Van Phu ward.

Ms. Hoang Anh stated: "School safety education and life skills training for students is a relatively new but essential field. With the mission of spreading the value of 'Safety Today - Success Tomorrow,' I hope that each program implemented will help students acquire more knowledge and skills to protect themselves and develop comprehensively."
In 2025 alone, the life skills training and education programs of the Vietnam Institute of Safety Education were organized in more than 100 schools in the area, contributing to building a safe and healthy school environment.
While Ms. Hoang Anh chose to develop her business in conjunction with life skills education, Ms. Luong Thi Thu Ha - Director of Huong Giang Social Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Yen Bai ward), is known for her journey of supporting underprivileged children.

Ms. Luong Thi Thu Ha, Director of Huong Giang Social Enterprise Co., Ltd., shared: "These children don't lack dreams or aspirations; they only lack opportunities and the right support. That's what motivates me to persevere on this path."
In the early days of establishing the center, she faced many difficulties regarding facilities, funding, and professional staff. However, with perseverance and the support of family, the community, and social organizations, the center gradually developed and became a trusted address for many families with disabled children in the area.

Notably, in 2024, the center had two products, wooden paintings and wooden flowers, that received OCOP 3-star certification. These products, created by the disabled children at the center, not only have economic value but also demonstrate the children's efforts and creativity in integrating into the community.

Ms. Phan Thi Kim Anh, whose child is studying at the center, shared: "Previously, my family was very worried because my child was developmentally delayed and had limited communication skills. Since coming to Huong Giang Center, my child has made significant progress, becoming more communicative and confident."

Not just Ms. Hoang Anh or Ms. Ha, in recent years, the team of female entrepreneurs in Lao Cai province has grown stronger. Besides traditional industries, many female entrepreneurs have boldly invested in new fields such as education, large-scale production, or developing eco-tourism linked to local cultural identity.

By 2025, businesses owned by female entrepreneurs had created regular jobs for many local workers with an average income of 9 million VND per person per month.
Besides their production and business activities, female entrepreneurs also actively participate in social welfare activities. In 2025, the Lao Cai Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association supported 30 disadvantaged families and families of those who rendered meritorious services to the revolution in building houses, sponsored 53 disadvantaged children, and participated in supporting families affected by storms and floods in the area.

With support from the Women Entrepreneurs Association in building her house, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, from Au Lau ward, emotionally shared: “A sturdy house has been my dream for a long time. If it weren't for the support from the Women Entrepreneurs Association, I don't know when I would have been able to have a home.”

According to Ms. Nguyen Kim Dung, a businesswoman operating in the trade and service sector in Lao Cai, women often face significant pressure when engaging in business due to the need to balance work and family. However, with effort and a spirit of solidarity, women can absolutely assert their role in business and contribute to society.
Commenting on the role of female entrepreneurs, Mr. Nguyen Chuong Luong - Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Business Association, said: Along with the development of the business community, female entrepreneurs are increasingly asserting their position in many fields. It is noteworthy that they not only focus on business efficiency but also actively participate in community support activities.
According to Ms. Bui Thi Suu, President of the Lao Cai Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association, in the coming time, the association will continue to create conditions for members to connect, share experiences, improve management capacity, and gradually build an increasingly strong community of women entrepreneurs, contributing to the development of the province.

In the context of increasingly deep integration, female entrepreneurs in Lao Cai are demonstrating their courage, intelligence, and sense of responsibility, affirming their role not only in economic development but also in spreading positive values in the community.
